Default Big Shot machine for $40.00

I was just at the sizzix.com site looking at the clearance things. If you don't mind pink, the Hello Kitty Pink Hot shot is $39.99!

Wow, that's still a great price!! That would be $55 total right? That's still $11 cheaper than at Scrapbookingalley.com!!!

Thanks so much mycatbillybob for sharing and thanks gale for sharing the code. It worked. It went down to 29.99 but then they added tax, s&h, s&h surcharge and ended up totalling $46 something.

This is the machine that I really wanted, LOL, so I ordered it from Costco and it came last week. The funny part? I've been watching the Sizzix website for MONTHS waiting for the Hello Kitty one to go on sale and it hadn't. I'd been wanting it because my friend Eileen Hull has designed these AMAZING ScoreBoard dies that cut the best boxes, etc. from matboard! They're so sturdy and cool! Anyways, this is a GREAT price for one darn cute machine.

Beth and gale:

Thank you so much!! I'm so thrilled!! I was going to purchase the BS last weekend when it was on sale thru Amazon (JoAnne's) for $60, but when I went back, it had been marked up to $70. I am a very frugal mom of 5 and couldn't justify spending the extra $10... even though my birthday is coming up. Today, I am going to "the city" to shop and was planning on looking for the BS on sale-- YOU both just saved me about $30!! YOU ROCK!! :-)

My husband just called you all the SuperStars of Stamping!!! rofl.

I'm fairly new to all this and would like to know whether this item or a Cuttlebug would be more useful to me. Unfortunately, my rich uncle hasn't shown up and my resources are limited.

I've seen these ScoreBoard dies online and can't wait to try them. I instantly loved the fact that they could be used w/matboard and thicker chipboard.

Gale, thanks for the coupon, I ordered one and several dies for my kids. Shipping was only $8.95 for 6 items which I thought was reasonable considering the weight (though free shipping would have been nice, lol!). There are a lot of dies on clearance for $4, and sizzlets for $1...a great deal all around.

I don't have the Cuttlebug (I have a BS) but I would definitely buy the BS. You can't beat the $29.99 price, even w/shipping & tax it's less than the Cuttlebug. JMO. :-D

I ordered one too, plus some dies that were also on clearance. Shipping was a whopping $13.95 ($8.95+$5)!!! But my total was still a couple dollars less than Scrapbookingalley.com's price of $66.65 for the BigShot only. Wow!!

Thanks so much for the link.......I do have a couple of questions.....
Is this machine the same as the black BS?? As sturdy, etc.??
Also.......what else would I need?? I mainly do embossing.....and I have several of the 12" embossing folders. I would imagine that I need the long platform plates???

Ok Beth! You are a TOTAL enabler! lol

I just ordered my pink, Hello Kitty, Big Shot! Woot Woot! I have wanted a Big Shot for about a year now and you sealed the deal for me with your find. I also used the 25% off coupon code.

Thanks again and I will be thinking of you when I use it!

Blessings,

Anne

Yes it is the same. They just made some in different colors/themes.
Yes you will need the extended platforms for the 12" folders.

So, if I have a Cuttlebug and a Revolution could I get rid of them and use ALL my dies in the Big Shot? This is too great to pass up I think. Wow, thanks everyone!

Thanks for sharing! I don't need another Big Shot, even at that great price, but I did find some Bigz dies that I wanted for the $4.00 sale price. Even with shipping, three Bigz dies for less than $20 is a steal!

I have to laugh- I was so geeked up about ordering the Big Shot that I had to tell somebody, so I called my neighbor.....my SU demo? Hm, while she was happy for me, she made me swear I wouldn't mention it at our stampers group last night. Can you imagine how danged hard it was to be with fellow crafters and NOT say anything about this deal???? (I did call work, and tell our trainer, who I'd been talking to about die cut machines last week, and she was so excited she could hardly stand it. Want to bet she ordered one last night too?)

Thanks for the sight. I already have the big shot but picked up some dies for cheap!
I wish I had gotten the B.S. for that price! You lucky girls!

Your demos may benifit from people buying the BS there and the dies from her. If the case is that they wouldn't ever buy the B.S. because it cost too much.
Just a thought.

Add me to the list of happy shoppers! I have a Cuttlebug, but have been thinking about the BS for about a year, so this deal was just what I needed to make me hit the "purchase" button. Thanks, Beth, for the heads-up and Gale, for the coupon code!

I'm glad everyone is getting in on this deal. I could hardly believe the price. I bought a ton of dies. It's fun to even get Christmas stuff. I never saw them last year so they are new to me.

Another happy crafter here....I've been wanting the BS for a while but it was just so expensive. I'm happy to get such a great deal. I also order a xl die that was half off. Thanks for the link and coupon.

I just looked at the website and like everyone else I'm amazed at the price. However, I'm confused because in one place it said the BigShot works with all the Sizzix dies, and in another place it says it works with all but the BigZ Pro dies. At least I think that's what the dies were called. Can anyone clarify this for me? And while I'm "talking," isn't this the greatest website in the world!!!

My hubby is so kind! I saw this deal when it was posted, but quickly turned the other way. Thanks for posting this, with the coupon. He agreed that it was a great deal and to go for it! So now, I'll sell my little Sizzix. Wish I could say I got the same deal for shipping though, since I'm FPO, it was $15 plus the surcharge. :( I ordered their Hope set the other day off the E-bay outlet, but had to send it to my in-laws since I wasn't willing to pay the same $15 shipping for it. Not sure why they have to charge us so much, it's still a US address.

We all got charged that shipping. It is expensive but overall still cheaper.
I wanted a bigshot so bad but will not pay $100 for it. DH has been off work due to an injury do he lost half of his pay for right now. When I seen this psot I had to tell him and he told me to order it so I did. I would not be getting one if it was not at this price.
I did tell my demo yesterday at stamp club because I asked her the cut off date for ordering dies from her for DH. SHe knew I did not have a BS and I told where I got it from. She is great though as she doesn't mind though as she knows she will sell dies to us. She knows that economy has affected our area pretty hard.

Thanks a lot! I caved! I have an old red sizzix that I only paid $7 for that works great. I wasn't even going to consider a BS since I don't really do diecuts. But the texture plates are all too tempting, and they don't work in "old red". I was also being tempted by the movers and shapers.

So? Now I have a PINK BS coming to me. I can handle the price with the 25% off. ;)
