Default Best metallic pencils?

I want to do some therapeutic shopping and decided I would get metallic colored pencils to use on my Christmas cards. Which is the best to buy - Derwent or Prismacolor? Or do you have another brand that you love? I know it isn't a big purchase, but I don't want to buy one set and find out I "need" another!

hi there,

I own a set of the Derwent metallic pencils and they are really pretty and metallic in colour, especially on dark papers.

Do the pencils seem to break easily or is the "lead" fairly sturdy? That will sway me on which brand to by. My beloved SU! metallic pencils are down to the stumps. I've been a bit frustrated with how soft the "lead" is one a few of the colors.

Thanks! I will try the Derwent set since that is what I saw readily available. AC Moore didn't have any others, though I think HL would. I will post again when I see how I like them. I, too, have had leads that break a lot in some brands and it is frustrating! But I really want a good, shiny coverage from my pencils.
