I just finished playing with my new ATG gun and its SOO NICE..I can see why people love it. Plus you get a TON of tape! I do find it fairly easy to use, I just have to figure out how to run it a little smoother so when I lift it, I don't get the glue globs. I do like how easy it runs on the paper though. My only problem is when I first used it, I was wondering if the tape was on there because its SO clear..I couldn't really see it..especially on white paper.
So to all out there..thanks for the new toy! I would recc. it to anyone!
Release the button before lifting and that should get rid of glue blobs. I know how excited you are, I was too and just had to tape all the pages of my cell phone together to make sure it worked!

My sister works at a LSS and she told me they just got them in but weren't priced yet. I told her she better get her hands on one for me......I am OUT of adhesive.....(shhhhhhh, she gets a good discount).....cant wait to get my very own...I have been drooooooooooooooling reading all the post on this great toy.......
the best thing to do to not get the glue boogers is to release the trigger...but continue the pulling motion just like you were taping. The tape will release smoothly that way.
I got mine from hubby for Christmas--and LOVE it. I was concerned that it would be hard to control (being so big), but it's SO EASY. I only have 2 other tape-runners that I will keep, I think--my Herma repositionable (obvioiusly for that very reason--repositionable), and my little Duck brand for tiny things. Otherwise, it's the ATG!

Agree with everyone here!!! Love it! Didn't jump on the bandwagon for a long time but VERY glad I did!!! I'm left-handed so for all you lefties, it's not hard to get the hang of it doing it with your right hand....
Just got mine on Wednesday and I'm already wondering where it's been all my life! I do have a question. My tape runs really close to the outer edge of the wheel. I'm afraid it's gonna slide right off. I tried to push it back once & the tape broke so I had to reload it. Good practice, I know. Should I be concerned or is this normal?

Mine ends up very near the edge too. Sometimes I wonder if it is the angle used to put down the tape..like maybe I am tipped a little too far in one direction. But I open it up and fix it when that happens. Overall I love my gun.
I noticed that with mine too..I have been watching it while I put it down and while it runs close to the edge sometimes, it usually fixes itself. The first few times I gently pushed it further over, but it didn't seem to make much difference. Mine has yet to slip off the wheel though.

it's normal. I just don't pay attention to the placement on the roller anymore. It has never come off the roller and I've been using my gun for over 2 years.
My son, who is in 4th grade, had to make a sea life diorama and a poster. We used the ATG gun for both of these projects and it was wonderful! "We" used to ATG gun to tape scrapbook paper to a box on the diorama and for the poster, we used it to tape photos and card stock to the poster board. I also used by Cricut to print the titles for the poster, then ran it through the Zyron and attached it to the poster.
We were finished in no-time and the neighbor boy said his Mom hadn't even started on his yet
