Question Anyone have the Xyron personal cutter

the one that uses the 'books' to program what you want? If you have one do you have any thoughts about them you can share? Thanks!

I had one and I sent it back...HATED it. I only cut out about 4 things and on the 4th one, my paper wouldn't even stick down on the mat. I just had horrible experiences with it. I would suggest the Cricut if you are looking at buying a machine like these!

Oh-oh! NOT what I wanted to hear... I purchased one for my 2 DD for Christmas to use for scrapping. I thought they would have a lot of fun using any paper they have to make letters, etc. Shoot!

Did you actually send it back to the company?

I bought mine from a friend that has a really small store which is just hanging on, stamp and scrap stores (the independent ones) are closing like crazy around here, so there is no way I'd want to return it to her. :(

I have one and I love it. I've had it since Feb or March. I use it all the time. I think all my scrapbook pages have titles used from it. I've not had any problems with it. I think I might be one of the few.

the mats were defective. I had this problem the first time. But I called Xyron and within a few days they sent me new cutting mats. I've not had a problem since. I'm still on the same one and it's still tacky.

I have one and really like it. I know that there were some problems at first with the defective mats, but I think that has been solved. Everyone that I know that has one seems to like it. It's very simple to use.

I am SOOOO glad to see that some of you are having good luck with it! Whew! We were too busy to mess with it today, but will try it soon! Thanks for the replies!
