I usually have to buy these for myself. However, this year, I copied a prismacolor chart and told my family that if anyone wanted to get me an inexpensive present they could get me a couple pencils that Im still missing : )
I bought myself the cube storage racks, so now, I will have 16 cubies to store items on a wall that had a different set up, and removed that, organization needs to begin

I've learned from past years if I want a surprise on Christmas morning, I have to include photos of the items I want, then my husband can decide what on the wish list he wants to buy for me. Otherwise, I have to go with him while he makes his purchases and that's no fun!
By the size of the boxes, I know I am getting 2 storage cubes from Michaels, and that's about all I can tell. (My husband is great at wrapping stuff in bigger boxes to hide what it is! I do the same thing!) I am also getting a small sewing machine for cards.
Funny story: I ordered something for my husband and when placing the order, the company asked if it was a gift, I replied yes, they advised that their company name would not appear on the shipping label so it wouldn't give away what might be in the box. The box arrived and in bold black letters on all four sides of the box was the name of the company! LOL (Thankfully, husband wasn't home when it arrived!)
On the other hand, I know I am getting a small sewing machine because it was ordered on line and the company had it shipped from the manufacturer (very common - beware!) and it was shipped in the original box which showed a picture of the item, of course.
Yes, I'm getting some Clearly Besotted stamps and dies My partner showed them to me when they arrived so I could check they were the correct ones. Now I just can't wait for Christmas Day to open them and try them out! ;)
not this year. We got ourselves new computers as our old ones were slowly dying. We built the computers together which was fun with a bit of stress since ive never built one before, it was very satisfying hooking everything up. Last year DH got me a silhouette cameo....Looooove it, have fun with yours Dalene =)
We're skipping Christmas presents entirely this year (for each other). We're just now starting to get work after our cross-country move in mid-October, and making sure we had a few things for kids/grandkids was all we wanted to do. We'll take a trip or do something fun like that after the holidays when we have a steadier income stream (and more motivation). I did get some Stacey Yacula stamps during the Purple Onion Designs Black Friday sale, so I suppose I could count those ;)
Hoping for some Lawn Fawn stamps with matching dies - and maybe the stitched Scallop Borders. My DH is great at buying me crafty things & very supportive of my cardmaking: what a kind man he is
I ordered a MISTI and then told my husband..."I just ordered your Christmas gift to me" hahaha...he'd rather me do that since he wouldn't even know where to get it. I explained what kind of tool it was and he just stared at me blankly and then said "Oh that sounds like a handy tool" He's a "has to see it" kind of person.
But all I have to say is "it's a tool" and he's on that bandwagon...loves tools! hahaha

I don't even know what a Misti is! Off to google Misti!

I went on line yesterday and was ordering refills for all my favourite copics, then hit save cart to site as I needed to check credit card had enough credit. Went back and the cart was empty, rrrrrrrr. I was so #^%^#*}*}+# that I decided I wasnt meant to have them yet so left there. Then went to look at some die cuts and ended up ordering a nice little pile that will not get here till mid January as I'm in Australia. Do I count them as Christmas present? Lol I think so.
Dies and stamps...no new die cutting machines this year because I think I already have all the newest machines. Now getting lots more dies and stamps also some new leggings and sweaters.
Merry Christmas ladies!
My husband and I aren't really exchanging gifts this year, except for the fact that I bought him a few "airstream camper" related items. I didn't give him a list of things that I wanted since I knew we weren't exchanging gifts. BUT my oldest son asked me for a list and the only craft related items there were the MISTI and some sketch books from Scrapbook Generation. I'll let ya know Christmas morning if I get either one.

I ordered my own Christmas presents! Much easier since DH gets that glazed look in his eyes when confronted with anything crafty. Except my Cropadial (can't remember how to spell it. LOL)... He loves that thing! I got some stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn (They arrived tied up with baker's twine with a few sheets of DP, and a handwritten thank you note and cute little smile stamp! Definitely ordering directly from Lawn Fawn again!!), the stitched squares and circles from Simon Says Stamp and a few other SSS dies and stamps. Although some of the stamps are for my DD. So excited for Christmas morning! Slightly more excited for the week after when our Christmas visitors (who I love, but will be sleeping in my craft room) head home! LOL.
I am I am! I've sorta been on a buying spree lately for crafty things.. With Black Friday and cyber sales... So I bought me some unity, purple onion designs, simon says, penny black, and serendipity stamps/dies. Then I just bought some lawn fawn stamps/dies off the Bst too!! Haha. Merry Christmas to me!!
Then I did a fantastic Secret sister swap on here for 12 days of Christmas and I received impression obsession dies that's been on my wish list forever...and other wonderful goodies!!
I think I'm getting some other crafty things from my bf too.. I asked for derwent inktense pencils and the 48 palette Gansai watercoloring from japan... I'm pretty sure those will be under the tree!!!
I'm pretty good the rest of the year with buying stuff so I just like to take advantage of the big sales and holiday fun of buying!!
1. Silhouette Cameo
2. Speakers/new stereo for my truck.
I also put swarovski crystal beads for a less expensive gifting option
I have no idea if I'll get any of these. DH has things he's ordered online, delivered to his office and I'm well behaved enough that I won't peek at his credit card statement to find out. I like genuine surprises.
I have to give DH pictures of what i want and where it's best to by them at, doesn't matter if it's a crafty item or not. He struggles with buying me crafty items as gifts because i already spend so much money on stamping and beading goodness throughout the year. His attitude is "what on earth does a woman need yet another craft item for?"
My daughters, on the other hand, are great about buying me crafty things. They are creative people too and TOTALLY "get it"
I always get cash from my MIL for Christmas (she gives cash gifts to all of her children and grand children), so I will probably get crafty stuff with that.
I'm excited for Christmas this year! Last year we were living in a borrowed camper trailer waiting to close on our house which happened 2 days after Christmas 5 people, and a cat trying to celebrate Christmas in a camper designed for two was a less than stellar experience :/
Anyhow, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas

Well, I'm now the proud owner of 9 copics and the color lifter! Woot, woot!!! My husband wanted me to pick out more, but I just wanted these first for coloring flowers. Not sure if I'll move on to anything else.

Technically not Christmas pressies but I have discovered shopGoodwill.com and won an airbrush, serger and pasta machined (dirty/bit rusty but sound for polymer clay).
We are at that stage where the kids are grown and I like to get them things they want/need rather than random things. One needs clothes for his Coop this semester - just got to double check the dress code, hoping for dressy casual khakis and polo.
Additionally we have a newish outlet mall nearby that we want to check out.

I got to tell you guys about my family. They give me what they want to give me. I tell them what I want and they never oblige. I'm still waiting for a pair of bedroom slippers I asked for 10 years ago. This is pitiful :(Can you imagine? They think I have too much craft stuff. Yes, this is true. But I so dearly wanted Scor-Pal's new 1/8th score board. Was that too much to ask for??? I didn't want clothes. Just that scor-pal. It would have made me so happy. Oh well!

My demo friend and I were just discussing this. But eventually it may sink in because this year I thought I was getting something from Kay Jewelers (I rarely wear jewely!) and instead got a $125 in Michaels gift cards, $10 in Dunkin Donuts, and $55 in Cracker Barrell! YES! Finally! I would like that new scor Pal too....!
Rosetta, my family is exactly the same way. Even though this year I gave them a list of some prisma pencils that I needed, they bought me a vacuum instead. Not a problem though I ordered enough goodies for myself before the holidays including the new scor pal, stamps, dies and the misti:p
My wish came true. DH gave me a Silhouette Cameo. I was so excited, I cried. He has NEVER gotten me anything crafty related as a gift. He thinks I have too much crafty stuff as it is. This was truly a surprise
I also got some metal beads and a WRMK gift bag punch board

So. Not. Cool.
I hate that! If you ASKED for a vacuum and they got you one, that would be lovely. Asking for craft stuff and getting something houseworky? Not great.
Well I was a lucky gal for Christmas... My bf got me the inktense pencils & 36 Gansai watercolor palette!! Plus some avery Elle storage pockets!! Then my mom bought me a couple water color brushes and a copic needed color in my stocking!! Woohoo

My in laws used to ask for gift lists - one year we need things for the house. So I did a list for him, one for me and another for us (which was things for the house) So he opens things for him and I get excited wondering what I got off my list for me. I didn't, I got things for the house. I never said anything, but honestly, we both use those things equally so why were they only "my" present?

That's how my MIL worked, too. DH got personal items and I got a teakettle (for example). Wouldn't have been as bad if his ex (who I actually really like and get along with well) wasn't attending the festivities and I had to watch her open her gold jewelry and perfume pressies...
The only gift I got that's crafting-related is a Joann's gift card. I'm fine with that, though - I don't need much at this stage!
