This looks like an awesome deal but I have most of the die and EB folders listed. But I love the die set and the ext cutting pad. That,in itself, should make me just go and order it

But, they won't start processing orders until the middle of August. They've got a big production going on in their store right now and all their ladies are busy until that event is over.

This looks like a good deal for the machine and cutting pads and platform, at Overstock - $79.99:
I always check overstock first. gotta love their s/h cost.
Me, too. Their selection can be limited, but if they have what you want, you can't beat their shipping. Sometimes I get emails from them with free shipping.

Usually, Michael's, Joann's, Hobby Lobby, and other brick-and-mortar big box craft stores sell the Big Kick. It's virtually identical to the Big Shot except for the plastic outer shell is shaped a bit different and it's not the same color. Theoretically, smaller, independent retailers are supposed to carry the Big Shot, and of course Stampin' Up also does but in their own, special color. I think, however, that online retailing blurs those lines. I would certainly not call Amazon or Overstock small, independent retailers, and they sell the Big Shot. (Overstock also sells the Big Kick.)
All the machines do the exact same thing. The only material difference at this point besides color and plastic outer body shape is which Multipurpose Platform they come with. As far as I can tell, this is the breakdown:
New teal Big Shot - Multipurpose platform is the extended length and all shims are bolted together with hinges.
Old pink/black Big Shot - Multipurpose platform is the shorter length and all shims are bolted together with hinges.
SU's Big Shot - Multipurpose platform is the shorter length and all shims are bolted together with hinges. (Any change to that? I don't know...)
Blue Big Kick - Multipurpose platform is the shorter length and all shims are bolted together with hinges. (at least the present inventory)
Brown (Vintaj) Big Kick - Multipurpose platform is the extended length, the shims are not bolted and hinged together, and you have to buy the shim for wafer thin dies separately. (at least the present inventory)

What about this one ? You don't get as much stuff, but the dies are newer and possibly you don't have as many of them already. And the shipping is free.
I keep forgetting about Overstock.com but I did end up with the black and pink one for$65.00 at one of our local stores. I thought the price was great compared to what I've seen. It is too bad that I didn't come black here and check out Overstock.com...oh we'll, I am still happy with the one I got and the price was right.

Sounds like you got a good deal. I've found sometimes that when I get "package deals" they sound really great, if you're just talking about the value. Then I end up not using the extras that I paid for, because I didn't actually choose them in the first place.
I still remember when I first got my Cuttlebug, I bought a great "package" of a bunch of embossing folders. Really a bargain, yes, but I've hardly used any of the ones that came in the set. I've gotten the ones I really liked one at a time.
