That is just too close to be a coincidence. It was pointed out to us last year at convention that if you turned "happy" upsidedown it looked like it said "helehoy". You could do the same thing with the ACMoore stamp. I think it is a blatant copy . . .
I've seen that in the past, I think in a Michaels ad. SU is not the only company out there with a design like that. It seems to me that I actually saw it from another company before SU came out with it. Just like when Hero Arts had the little saying stamps similar to Tiny Talk long before SU had them. I basically ignore all the similarities anymore between stamp companies because they all seem to "steal" from each other all the time - just a matter who came up with the design originally. It might be SU this time but it's Hero Arts the next time or it's TAC the time after that. Doesn't really matter anymore who had it first because within a very short period of time, they all have it anyway.
I agree with Geogymnast82.....I have seen that happen before....some company comes out with something new and it resembles something another company already has or a couple of companies come out with pretty much the same thing at the same time.
To me it looks close but definitely not an exact copy. The tail on the y of happy in the SU set doesn't curl back under like the one pictured in the ad. Also, the sentiment in the ad doesn't look like the same font that's used in the SU set.
I saw it too. I believe it is our set. I pulled out my catalog and the A.C.Mooree ad and put them next to one another and they are identical. The ad says *Completed Projects Shown. What they are selling is the paper and envelopes. ?????
if you look at ACMoore's ad.. i get it via email.... there is a card made...
the stamp they use looks exactly like SU Happy Everything... Doesnt It?
Yes, I noticed the similarity right away, but when I compared the ad to the SU catalog, I could see there are some minor differences. But one certainly had to have been influenced by another, eh? ;)
Hero Arts has a set like SU's Happy Everything. It was out long before SU's and the Happy in our set is almost identical but there are distinct differences. This is not a copyright infringement.
