Our tax refund is due on Friday! DH was so happy that my "business" generated enough of a loss:rolleyes: for us to increase our refund substantially (qualified for the earned income credit instead of being a few hundred over the limit), he is giving me $1300 to use ANY WAY I WANT! I am using some of it for two mini vacations I am taking with my sons, and figure I can spend $500 on "stuff" for me to play with!
I have almost everything out of the current SU catty that I could ever possibly want/use.
What are your favorite MUST HAVES? I already have a Cuttlebug. Not sure I'd use a Cricut enough to invest such a large amount. I'm not "into" die cuts enough to justify it. (The Bug is for the embossing folders!! LOVE them!)
Things I'm considering are a really GOOD paper cutter. I have a Carl, and while I like the fact it can cut more than one sheet of cardstock at a time, I find that the way it is designed is hard to measure and get a truly straight cut for smaller elements.
I'm thinking about that new cutting system (Dreamcuts) and the Bindit All are definites... That's $150ish right there... still leaves a LOT to play with!
Oh, and I should mention I'm going to the Heirloom show in Allentown in April, and can/will be spending a large chunk there. Anyone who has been to an Heirloom show this year, anything a MUST there??
Wow! Have you got everything you want from the Spring Mini? It will be "on" tomorrow. You already have a Cuttlebug. Bind It All and Dreamkutz were next on my list, too! Some of those Fabriano Mediovalis (sp?) cards? Join one of TexasJodyLyn's ribbon shares? I'm thinking too small, right? Do you need a travel tote for scrapbook supplies? Storage options?

Nothing is "too small", just means I can get more of it! ;)
I'll have to check on the Fabriano cards... I saw a thread on them here somewhere, but haven't checked them out...
I already have a P3 for my 12x12 paper, and "several" totes... it's a standard joke at our scrapbooking weekends that I pack more supplies to bring than any LSS ever had.... (can't take the chance of needing something and it being at home, right? ;))
What about adding a "Scor-It" to your "musts"? If you hold classes &/or workshops for numerous projects, this would certainly be a treasure! ;)
And I think a wonderful, new stampin'/scrappin' pull tote would be another sweet gift to yourself! Enjoy!
I actually got the Scor-It last year when it first came out... saw it demo'd at the Allentown Heirloom show and had to have it! It was one of only 2 things I bought that day, the other being Twinkling H2O's... "back then" I was a total SU snob, as a new demo I didn't buy anything that wasn't SU... now I've gotten over myself and realized there is so much FUN stuff out there and I've been denying myself LOL!
I can't access it at work... is that the one that Joan B linked to with the cool scalloped blade?? Oh, I think I know what my first purchase is going to be!!
WOW! I wish my dh had been that nice..lol I too have everything I want from the current SU book-- my box should come today! =)
If I were in your shoes, and couldn't decide beyond a few things, I'd bank the rest and let it gain interest until the next catty comes out. This way you'd be a little bit ahead on getting all the stuff you want from that one too. rofl Make sure you're stocked on envelopes tho, I seem to almost run out all the time, or get a roll of stamps to put next to your ribbon spools. LOL I know I'm not much help, but that's my $.02

Saving for the new catty is a great idea!
I do know that I want to take a large chunk of it to the Heirloom show. Perhaps I'll put $200 in the bank and wait until Heirloom to see what they have... I could have EASILY dropped $500 there last year if I hadn't kept telling myself "you can't demo it"... now I don't CARE if I can't demo it... I started stamping because it was FUN, so why limit myself??
wooHoo - what fun! I can't imagine (only dream) of 1) having a refund or 2) getting to spend $500 on stamp stuff! Enjoy your purchases, whatever they are...
