This is a template for a label for a 1-gallon paint can, with holes for the handle housings.
I'm sorry but I can no longer respond to requests to have the file emailed to you. Please carefully follow the directions below to save and open the file.
Good luck and enjoy! ---Cyndie

To save the file from this website to your hard disk, do the following:
From Mac: right click (if you have a two-button mouse) or hold down the mouse button on the file name (if you have a one-button mouse) until the popup window comes up. Choose "Download linked file" --navigate to where you want to save it, then click OK (or Save, I forget which). Then you can open and print the file from wherever you saved it.
From PC: right click on the file name until the popup window comes up. Choose "Save target as..." --navigate to where you want to save it, then click OK (or Save, I forget which). Then you can open and print the file from wherever you saved it.
If after saving the file to your computer, it doesn't open when you double-click it, try this: Open up your Adobe Reader program (by double-clicking or from the Start menu), go to the File menu, choose Open... browse to where you saved the file, and open it. This usually works when all else fails.
The password protection on my file is there to prevent alterations to the file. It will not prevent you from printing it.

Hello. I can open the file, but for some reason it will not allow me to save it to my computer. Do you have any idea why? Is there some sort of security on it? Thanks so much. I just bought a paint can and really want to try this.

Can someone please send me the template for a one gallon paint can. I can't seem to get this to work for me. Thank you in advance! I just love the way this project looks and want to do this for the end of the year with our teachers at school.

I sent it on May 11th, so if you didn't get it maybe your ISP (internet service provider) is blocking the Earthlink domain (my ISP). Sometimes they do that.
I just sent it again, so if you don't get it this time, maybe someone else can send it to you.
I too am having trouble. I followed your directions to save the file but then can not open it.
Please could you email me your instructions.
Thank you,

Just tried your Paint Can template and it is sooooo great! Thanks for sharing. And thanks for the tips on downloading the Adobe reader. Mine needed to be upgraded.
Thank you so much for posting this template! I just went to Lowe's today to buy some paint cans so that I can attempt this project for the first time. Doing it for a girlfriend's new baby girl.
Thanks again!

I was able to download and print off your template. Thank you so much. Just looked at the paint cans in the gallery today and they are really cute. Is there anything else we need to be aware of before we try to make one? I need all the help I can get.
This is probably a really stupid question, but where are you buying the paint cans? Can you buy empty paint cans somewhere?
I appreciate your help with this.
Thanks

I don't think that was a dumb question, because I was wondering this myself! Thanks for asking!

I got mine from a local paint store for about $2.50 apiece. They even gave them to me with the handles separate--made it easier for me to cover the can with paper, then attach the handles. I've noticed other posts from people saying they got theirs at Lowes or Home Depot. Give them a try!
Have you tried all the suggestions I listed above?
You won't be able to download it just by clicking on the file name, you will have to download it to your computer and open it from there. The instructions are given in my original message (#1 in this thread).
