One Sheet Wonder 8x8 (OSW)
Hopefully this is the right place to post this...I get a little confused sometimes about where to put things!
I posted instructions and cards in my Gallery a couple of days ago for a OSW using 8x8 piece of paper that makes 9 cards. I did this last year, but I wanted to explain things better and give better pictures of it in case someone would like it.
I like to do this with my "special" DSP that I don't like to part with. I don't mind using an 8x8 piece. The other reason I like this size is it makes only 9 cards which is quicker for me than doing the larger amount of OSWs. (I can be pretty detailed and picky about everything I make so I take forever sometimes!) I think this make a really pretty set of cards to give as a special gift.
This time I made a card box instead of a bag. I used the "A2 Card Box" instructions in the resources/tutorials section here on SCS. I increased the size of the box to fit 9 cards instead of 4-5, but still allowed me to use an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock. These are the measurements I used:
Box base: 8 1/2" x 9 3/4" piece of cardstock
Box lid: 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" piece of cardstock
In step 1 of the tutorial, score at 1 7/8" instead of 1 1/2" for the base
In step 7 of the tutorial, score at 1 3/16" instead of 1" for the lid.
This is the layout template I did for these. I also included the "mat" dimensions I used for most of them...sometimes I change my mind. I included pictures of the 2 sets I did with the Springtime Vintage DSP, one with blues and one with greens. Finally, pictures of the two gift boxes I made to go with them. These are really simple to make.
Hope you find this useful if you like OSW. I have more information on these on my blog if you would like.
