Anybody know what's that fantasy films? I checked it out with the main fantasy films website. It tells me to stamp the image, put 3 layers on, and iron it, then.... the material will feel different or harden... What can I do with it? I also see roses and some kind of wings that was made too. Help please!
Not sure how helpful this is ... putting "Fantasy Films" and "crafting" into my Google search bar turned up mostly unwanted (in many ways) results but this website seemed to give a good explanation of what Fantasy Film and Fantasy Fiber actually are (for those curious folks that will find this thread):
Thank you so much for info... the one from ebay made more sense to me. I brought a bag of fantasy film, I thought it looked cool, but then... I stamped and heated, etc.... I was like.. ok... so... I quess I have to be more creative and try to play with it, hahaha....

I love fantasy film - but it is SO hard to take good pictures of it.
You need to use something like Staz-On for best results; Brilliance (and presumably other pigment inks) will work but you need to be more careful not to smudge. Layer at least 2 or more layers, you can mix different colours. The easiest way is to cut your film, ink the stamp and leave it face up on the table. Carefully press the film down on the inked stamp. Put a small piece of baking parchment over this and iron with the iron on a low heat. When you can see the outline of the stamp showing, it should be ready. Remove from stamp and trim down. I've never tried it with clear stamps, only rubber, but I am sure that both are suitable - just remember to keep your iron low and use the baking parchment.
you can do utee stamping with it as well. place the film over some melted and still hot UTEE (ultra thick embossing powder) and stamp immediately. Hold your stamp on there until it has cooled. UTEE stamping doesn't work very well with detailed stamps- use a more graphic design or bold pattern typed stamp.

Any chance you could link to a card showing this? I presume the film sticks to the UTEE, but what happens to the bits around the stamped image, or is the whole piece of film pressed into the UTEE? Sure sounds interesting.

when you lay the film over the hot utee, it melts together. You should cut the film piece to be a little bit bigger than your item because it shrinks some when it melts and is stamped into. If there is excess after that, it can be trimmed with scissors or melt the edge

Thanks for that, it certainly looks worth trying out.
I had a go at mnhyrkas's technique - Inspired by Glass by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers.
I'd love to try it on glass - maybe another time. Meanwhile I'm almost clean of that colour of film so I think I need to be ordering some more.

I took a class at our local stamp store and we used the fantasy film and fantasy fiber. Inked the film on top of the rubber stamp, left it on the stamp, put fantasy fibers on top, then another layer of film and ironed it. It made the most gorgeous butterfly wings you have ever seen.
Od be careful using the stuff from the gift wrap, if they are ironing this on top o rubber, there must be something additional in the product keeping it from stickin to the rubber, unless I am not getting the instructions correctly.
