Default What's the Best Way

....to paper piece things? I've seen all of these amazing cards where the main image is paper pieced with DSP and was wondering what the best way to do this is. TIA for your help.

Default Paper Piercing

I, too, wondered about this and recently found a suggestion online to use plastic canvas. The holes are equally spaced and it really works. I picked up a package of 6 sheets from Walmart in the clearance aisle for $.99. Your other option could be to purchase a tool from Stampin Up that is used for paper piercing, it's called a Mat Pack for $9.99.

I stamp the image on white.
Next, I stamp the image on different designer papers and cut out each area, starting with the largest and working down.
This is really easy, and I have found that working with the Snail Adhesive is less time consuming.

Arlene....If you're using the Cricut or Expression it's very easy as they have the layers pieces for many items (depending on the cartridge) that you cut separately and then use adhesive (Zyron) to adhere them to main image.

It can be done with the Sizzix or Cuttlebug dies, but it a bit more challenging, but still very doable.

For attaching the layering pieces to the main image, I would suggest running them through one of the Zyron machines. Less mess than glue and also put adhesive on the entire piece.

Thanks ladies - I'll give it a try this weekend and see how it turns out.
