Smile Is there a recipe for homemade blending solution?

I want to try a blending technique that requires blending solution. But to buy some I'll have to drive an hour one way and then back.

Is there some kind of homemade recipe to get around this?

Have you tried rubbing alcohol. I use it on glossy card stock with reinkers on a cottonball.

Try baby oil or goo gone if you have 'em on hand I use them both with great success.

Hi, I saved this Dove Blender recipe from here. Sorry, I don't remember who posted it.
2 tsp glycerin
4 tsps distilled water
1/4 tsp rubbing alcohol.
I have never used it, but maybe it will help.

I've used the glycerin formula. It works very well to blend certain mediums.
I used it on water color paper and on whisper
white card stock. I didn't like the results on
the whisper white, but I'm sure I was doing
something wrong. There was a warning on the
site where I found the recipe that said not to
use it directly on your markers or stamps as it
will harden them and make getting a good stamped
image difficult. I used the ink from the lid of the
stamp pad, and water color pencils with great results.
I didn't have good luck with the crayons. There
was a residue left on the pen. Experiment....

HTH..
