Default 'Swirled' Baby Wipe Technique?

I know about using baby wipes to make your own 'ink pad', but in this card

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

she says she used a baby wipe to swirl the ink on? Well, I tried it, and it just looked like a glob of ink. Does NE1 know how to get this look?

Thanks in advance!

My advice about using baby wipes is to start with just a little ink from your reinker and gradually add until you get the look you want - when you add too much at once, it bleeds together and looks yucky. Also, when I'm using the baby wipe to apply ink directly to the paper, I fold it and just put the ink in one little row of drops (As opposed to making a big spot of different colors like I would to use it as an "ink pad"). That allows you to have better control of where the ink goes.

Default My directions...

...are in the "Photo Details" of the 'attached' card.

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

The key to not getting *muddy* colors is to only make ONE pass - do not do back and forth motions. Unless of course you wish to have a "faux plaid" done by baby wipes...I had that posted at one time but I cleared it out of my gallery.

The other main key for me is *GLOSSY* c/s. It really helps to "develop" the colors. Try it on both matte and glossy and you'll understand exactly what I mean by "develop" the colors... ~ K
