Default stamping on t-shirts

Anyone stamped on a t-shirt? What is the best method? Longest lasting ink with normal washing, and easiest to do?
TIA
Amy

I have stamped on similiar fabric - I decorated my neice the Karate Kid's sports bras using Kanji and a retired Asian set (cann't recal the name; it's about 3 years retired). I used craft ink and then heat set with an iron. Thus far she says that the images are holding up. I'd imagine that, much like t-shirt, these will be washed often. I hope they hold up to frequent washings. The tea towel I stamped for myself has held up well but that material is 100% cotton and the sports bras were a lycra/cotton blend.

Hope that helps. T-shirts are pretty cheap. I'd take an old one and experimet stamping and washing to see what happens.

I stamped a T for my DD with acrylic paints mixed with textile medium. I have a pic in my gallery. We've washed it 4 times already and it's still looks like new.

The trick is to heat set the stamping medium....whether it's craft ink (which I've never used), acrylic paint (also never used) or fabric paint (my choice). I did sets for my granddaughters eons ago...they seemed to withstand the washing....although I don't recommend bleach. HTH and have fun....it's always fun to create something new!!
