Default Stamped Candle Question

I have a customer who wants to know if you can actually burn the stamped candles? I mean, I know that you CAN burn them, but is there any danger of something weird happening when you get to the part that was stamped? (like sparks, terrible odor, etc.)

Thanks!

Penny

I don't think there would be a problem. The tissue paper is melted into the wax. I use the 3" x 3" pillar candles (or taller) to make them. Like any other burning candle, you don't want to leave them unattended. Hope this helps.

Default Paper does burn

You need to watch the candle once it gets to the tissue paper. I have had the wax melt and the tissue paper flop into the flame. Also, if you use the hodge podge or napkin applique method you need to be careful because they can become fireballs.

Hope this helps. This has just been my experience, I don't know if anyone has a great experience.

Heres what I do with those georgeous candles. --- I burn them down far enough to be able to place a little tealight candle inside the well. Then your beautiful stamped candle stays forever and you needn't worry about the tissue or modge podge catching fire. Hope this helps.

Hugs

Ruthy
