Default Side fold score card

Since several people have asked, here's directions. I did not come up with this idea, I got it from someone at Texas Stamp Day!

Okay, here it is. Someone made one of these for Texas Stamp Day and I loved the look.

You score your center as normal and then score 1/2 inch in either direction as well. You punch a hole or something on the side and tie ribbons. You can still open the card because it has the score lines. Kind of like a binding or something. Really a cute look. I put scrap paper over the 1/2 in at the center so I get the background only on the front part of the card after the score line.
Here are two others. I like the wide sideways better, but I have done both.

Clear as mud?!?!?! Ask me more if I didn't explain it well!

Question Final Measurement of Card?

This is so pretty! I just need some clarification here to see if I did it right....

What is the final measurement of the card? When I do mine, it measures out to be 5.5x3.75 Am I doing this right? If not, I must win the "idiot of the day" prize! LOL

I love the look....so classy! I swear 3/4 of the cards in "my favorites" are your cards, Emily! NO JOKE! I love the way you combine your sets so beautifully! Thanks so much!

Melanie,
Not Emily, but I was at TX Stamp Day and loved this fold as well and have done it. Your card is normal size of 5.5 x 4.25 (folded). However you fold it (scoring or just folding it in half), then you score it again 1/2" on either side of your middle fold. Make sense? If not, PM me!

Do you glue/mono the 1/2" "spine" together or just leave it as is and the card will open on the fold? I really like this look. Thanks for sharing!

Nope, no extra mono! I suppose you could, but the sample I got the idea from didn't have that.

Default Thanks

Thanks for sharing. I did not catch on the first time I read it but now I see how you did the scoring/attaching ribbon. Can't wait to try this technique! By the way, I like those cards!
