Question Setting eyelets - help pls!

Hiya,
I'm a newbie from the UK and I adore stamping and SCS. I've learned so much from you guys and all the great tutorials. But I have aproblem - a friend has sent me some eyelets and a tool and I'm not sure how to use them without damaging them.

Can anyone recommend a good place to look for a tutorial or some basic advice? I'd hate to squash them all...:(

I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator; maybe I can help. What tool(s) do you have? You need a 1/8" circle punch to punch a hole for the eyelet. Put the eyelet through the hole. Turn it upside down. Place the pointed end of the eyelet setter into the eyelet (on the back side) and hammer about 3 times to start smashing the eyelet. Then hammer flat. I do this on a piece of plexiglass about 4 x 6" so I don't damage my furniture. Help?

Thanks so much for explaining that - I think I had them upside down! Now I know why they were so hard to set

If they are SU eyelets they can also be set with the hole punch. Either the 1/8th or the 1/16. It has been so long I can't remember which one, sorry. Just play with it.
