Ladies....the Sizzix dies whether you purchase them from some website or even Stampin' Up are meant to cut all kinds of materials.....anything that can be cut with regular scissors. The die is not damaged by the material.
Instead of the hassel of cutting the can, you can use sheets of thin metal that you purchase in craft stores. Also try using the inside of the can instead and coloring the metal with alcohol inks to get the colors you want instead of the ones on the outside of the can.
I cut mine with a cuttlebug because I only have a big shot at home and a cuttlebug at school. Thing that did ruin a die was the paint stick they tried to cut.

I tried it with my Cuttlebug and the little SU snowflakes and couldn't get it to work......BUT I have a huge hand punch of a snowflake and it worked just great. No problems----the snowflake is the same size as the one from SU.......I loved the Sierra Mist can snowflake the best (but I only had diet pepsi, nestea lemon, and one sierra mist can to play with.)
