I was so inspired by Kristi's watermelon, I had to come up with my own. I tried Iris folding for the first time without a template, because I couldn't wait and my printer was broken. Here is my first attempt. I made a mistake and probably should have used one color, but anyway, here it is and tell me what you think!
I bought a book of templates and a few "pre cut " hole cards last fall and they still sit in my bin! Thank you for reminding me I need to get those out.
I like your card! A neat object to do too! I may have to try that too!
I did an iris folding make and take once and thought it was very cool. Since then I haven't seen any patterns or templates. Do you have any suggestions about where to find them. P.S. Your card is adorable!
Nice work, I really like the iris folding. Did you find the paper bulky? They suggest in using the origami papers but I find them not my taste, I like the fun papers. TFS
I learned iris folding from the sites on www.craftsitedirectory.com/irisfolding/
They have several patterns you can try. There is an iris folding group on Yaahoo with lots of patterns. There are several books available but when I teach I use simple shapes like squares, circles or ovals. As for papers I have use wrapping paper, downloaded wallpapers, origami papers or any paper I can fold. Hope this helps.
