Default HELP! HELP! HELP! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

HI,
I am trying to do the burned batik technique, however, unsuccessfully. I cannot figure out what stage to heat the image to in order to get the batik look. Is it still supposed to look glazed when I wet it, or wait till it shows through to the back of the paper, etc????Please, for those individuals whom have been successful at this, please help me. I am bound & determined to get it to work, and have tried at least 10 times thus far. I have heated the image anywheres from 1 minute - to 5 minutes trying it different ways, but no luck.

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's when you can see it through the back.

It supposed to be kinda see through, not glazed anymore. I had better luck with this technique with my old marvy heat gun. That gets super hot. The Stampin' Up! heatgun has a better regulator. Good for regular embossing, bad when you want to overheat your image. ;)

What you could try to do is lay a piece of regular copy paper over your embossed image and then iron over it. That should do the trick!
