Default Grid or "Modern Grid" Technique

Hi there everyone ... can someone tell me how to do the Grid or Modern Grid technique? I'm sure it is very simple, but I just am the type of person that needs direction!

Appreciate your help!

Do you mean something like this?

If so I drew lines in pencil, stamped the flowers and the used a marker to draw the lines up to the flowers. I randomly picked blocks to color in.

yup- that's the trick- stamp first draw lines second. I've also seen a lot of the squares filled in with squiggles and dots instead of full color- very cool! Good luck creating!
