$38 buys the cutting system mat and blades and your choice of patterns (circles, ovals, etc.). Each additional pattern set is only $14...worth every penny of it.
I love it. I hardly get to scrap, stamping prevails, but I've made a few scrapbook calendars for my DS's grandparent's b-days - I do not know what I would do without my CM cutting system when doing those. I'm waiting for the celestial and gemstone patterns to come in now...just in time to make my mom's b-day calendar.
I bought it at a Stampin Up night and I for one, LOVE mine! I think its a must if you make cards. You'll love it too!

Are you talking about the coluzzle cutting thing SU offers?? I think everyone else was talking about the Creative Memories one... I have both.. and I must say I use the colzzle much more often because it is so much more compact than the CM set... you don't need to get out so many things to clutter the table to get something cut!!
I wouldn't give up my CM cutting system for anything!
I love the way it cuts... i don't like coluzzle because you still can't cut the whole shape out, and no matter what, I could never get even perfect cuts. I don't find my system cluttering at all.. but I keep in it a case. I find my paper, stickers, albums, photos, punches, embellishments etc. take up more room than my CCS!! My next purchase will be the wavy frames...
I am CM Consultant and both have benefits....the fiskers is nice...has scoring blade but personally CM works just as good..... I am big fan of stampin up and CM so honestly I like both
I have the CM cutting system---sitting in a box hardly ever used!!! I guess all of the 'cute' shapes remind me of the scrapbooks i did in the early 80's (guess that dates me), when all that was available was plastic templates!! I guess i'm just a rectangle/square sort of person! i also have their wave cutting thing and don't care for it! Tried their new wave thing that is just coming out--sorry didn't like it! Just another opinion! cindy
