Happy Monday All!!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! This month I am digging back into my stash of patterned paper scraps but ALSO into my stash of Embossing Folders. Like stencils, embossing folders are one of those things I seemed to collect for a while so if you've got em ...use em!!
I watched a video last month that inspired this challenge and I can't find it to reference but it is an easy technique. First, find those pattern paper scraps (do you still have a drawer full or are they starting to dwindle because one of you sent me an idea that I will try to share before my year of "using my stash" is over
)
Take your scraps and create a "quilt block" - the size and pattern choice is up to you and the options are vast! There are some tutorials in SCS (just type quilt in the tutorial search bar for some quilt ideas) or if you want to search online for some ideas, go for it! I found a fun Pinterest board with a ton of ideas.
HERE it is if you want to check it out...
OK, now we have our "quilt block" sooooo we need to "quilt" it. Let's find that quilt looking embossing folder and emboss it onto your block. If you do not have embossing folders, you can use stencils but will likely get a faint image instead of a deeper one or you could just use your scoring tool and do straight lines in a patterns or just "stitch in the ditch" meaning straight lines along the "seams". What ever method you choose, make sue the raised embossing is going to be on the side of the block you prefer it to be as the embossing creates that quilted look that completes the quilt and make is so pretty!
The fun thing about this one is that depending on your scraps, this could create everyday cards, Christmas/any holiday cards, theme cards, anything really! Just have fun with it!
I can not wait to see what you come up with!!
Hugs,
Lyn
PS - ANNOUNCEMENT...Beverly (ruby-heartedmom) asks that you be sure to eat your veggies for next week's challenge. At least she is hoping you will have some broccoli heads in the fridge for next week's challenge. (September 25th)

Remember to use the keyword TLC969 (no space) when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/show photo..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
