NINE HUNDRED technique challenges! WOW! (That means I have 900 ATCs in my album now--plus a few extras...) I had to do this song today...
Time keeps on slipping into the future. My ATC album doesn't just hold technique samples, it holds a lot of memories of past hostesses and the growth Splitcoaststampers has experienced. In reality, those ATCs occupy THREE fat albums!
Wow! is still the best word for this great website! It has grown me up and taught me so much about paper-crafting and the challenges always take me to places I thought I couldn't go. Splitcoaststampers is a great melting pot of people from all over the world brought together by a love of papercrafting. I just had to think of an appropriately symbolic challenge for 900 and I came up with the Disappearing Nine-Patch technique. Disappearing, get it? Slipping into the future.
That I am posting another geometric shifting technique is funny to me. These types of techniques mess with my head and it takes me a minute to get my mind untangled. However, if I untangle it I usually love the results. So again, in honor of the special number, I am offering you some choices to express your own preferences and personalities.
EASY PEASY: Make a Nine-Patch Quilt card in honor of 900 technique challenges...
{BTW--I first heard the term "Easy Peasy" here on Splitcoaststampers--but it was Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy back then...and it brings back memories of JulieHRR}
A LITTLE MORE SOMETHING SOMETHING--Express yourself and let it transform into something different by cutting it. There seems to be three different ways to cut it to make something different. Each of us have heads popping with ideas, so you choose and show us your variation. Disappearing Nine-Patch Variations:
The attached samples are unfinished cards of the variations. The slimline card is not the same as the tutorial. I got derailed and ended up doing a simpler one. Have fun. You can tell I am not a quilter...

900! WOW is right, Beverly. Thanks for your great write-up. I agree with all you said about SCS. I miss not being able to play as often as I once did, and my card turned out kind of explaining why. The Technique challenges have always been my favorites. Let's keep on learning!
I do apologize if I do not comment on everyone's cards right now. My life has been turned upside down, my husband and I are coming up on our 4 year wedding anniversary and we were told last week he has lymphoma and I'm trying to get throught cardiac rehab through all this, and have blockages in both legs the doctor does not want to deal with right now because of how serious it is.. He is trying me on medication instead. I do look at all your cards and love them. I just want to create.
Please keep us in prayer my husband really needs them.right now.
Many Hugs for always being here for me,

{{{HUGS}}} and prayers for all you are going through right now. I'm so glad that creating is available as a tension release for you right now. No worries about commenting. You create, girl!
Finally got around to making this card. It's been on my mind for a while but the weeks have been quite busy - it's coming on summer and there is so much to do...
Anyway, always enjoy learning some nuggets of interest about the hosts. Would have never imagined that Beverly enjoys rocking out to the Steve Miller bad!! - GO Girl.
Here is my belated card. Thanks for a fun challenge 9 Square Spring Quilt by lamoore at Splitcoaststampers
