Our dear Anita (snietje) is stepping down from the TLC team this month. We will miss her but I hope she isn't forgetting about us at the TLC. She is the queen of fun folds, so imaginative, creative, charming; she puts a lot of effort into her pdf instructions, including measurements in inches for we metrically challenged folks. I should have chosen a fold, but how can one match what Anita can do, so I chose the delft tile tutorial. Anita is originally from the Netherlands, still has family there, now lives in France. Anita, tell us a little more about where you are from, please. Our very own justwritedesigns (Julie) created this tutorial and I've asked her to guest sample. Thank you, Julie!
A couple things about this tutorial: delft is generally blue and white but I think adding some color is fine. I'm guessing masking paper like Masking Magic didn't exist when Julie created this so I would suggest using something like that instead of cutting a mask out of printer paper...much quicker. I found this to be very fun to do and will do again. I want to try it with a small stamp. Here is the tutorial:
Here's a link to our TLC877 Gallery at Splitcoaststampers gallery. Don't forget to upload your card to the technique spotlight/delft tiles and also to this challenge thread. Thanks for playing!
Remember to use the keyword TLC877 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Oh my, what did you do Jean, a challenge for me...Thank you very much for this, I feel very honored.
I can tell you a bit more about myself and where I'm coming from.
I was born in Venray in the South of The Netherlands, the part of the country where the most festive people live (LOL) it's not far from Germany and from Belgium, I've never been in Delft, but of course I know their porcelain, I've already made some cards with this fun technique but will make one today for Jean's challenge
My SCS name Snietje, was given to me by my dear Grandmother it means our little Anita.
I was 18 years old when I went to France to Lourdes and I've been working their for 13 years, I don't really miss my country but I miss my family, I hope to be able to go there in March.
I'll step down from the TLC team, but of course I'll continue to make cards and you won't miss me here on SCS
That's enough talking let's go to create now, have fun and thank you so much dear Jean for this lovely surprise.
Here is my tribute to Anita! Thank you, Jean and Julie, for providing us with this challenge and the opportunity to honor Anita for all her wonderful technique challenges.
God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
