Happy Monday, everybody!
I have a technique today that might be little time-consuming, but is quite easy.
Recently I was making a card using the Bandanna / Bandana Technique as featured in a TLC a few years ago, and I wondered what it would be like to add doodling to dry embossing rather than to a stamped image.
All you need is some coloured cardstock and a white gel pen - and a suitable embossing folder!
You can doodle on the embossed or debossed side as you prefer! I found I got best results by using the embossed side and doodling along the embossing. With an open pattern, you could get away with doodling around the raised embossing, but the first embossing folder I tried with, that became too crowded.
You could also try inking your folder with a darkish colour of ink, embossing white card, and doodling round the embossing on the coloured surface - but only you have much more success with this technique than I do! I tried it and found that it left too much of a "ghost" white space around the embossed line - so I have a pretty card to show, but not for this challenge!!
 Don't feel you need to doodle the whole lot of embossing either, if you find it's taking too long! I sat there and put a CD on and the time passed very enjoyably, but only take as long as you have. I used a white gel pen because my jumping-off point was taking the bandanna technique down a different route, but feel free to use whatever sort of pen you like.
These attachments show the embossed side doodled on the embossed line, and round the embossed line; the third picture shows the debossed side.
Remember to use the keyword TLC553 when you are uploading. It's helpful (to the hostesses for sure!) if you come back and leave a link on this thread .
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
All I can say is that you must have a LOT better white gel pen than I have!! Good grief, I can barely make a highlight in an eye!...I'll see what I can do though...Could I use a color pen on white? or is that not the challenge? I'll see what I can come up with.

I did say in the write-up to feel free to use a different colour pen if you wanted; I used white because I was coming from doing bandanna backgrounds!
And I have Gabby/gabalot to thank for recommending the Mitsubishi Uni-ball Signo to me; personally I have found them so much better than the Inkssentials.
Sabrina- awesome challenge! I used a white colored pencil to emphasize my embossed swirls- from a Cuttlebug folder- and added some images from an old SU set, along with a ghost image. Kept it simple with 2 gems and a folded over top border. Here's Witching You- TFL!

Well darn it, i fiddled around so long with my white pen that I don't have time to do a card before work! I'll try with another color when I get home. I did get my image done though, so half the battle is done!
Thanks for letting me know about the other colors...I missed that entirely!
