I am very pleased to announce I am your new 5th Monday of the Month Hostess. You won't be seeing me often, but I hope you will join me on those Rare occasions!
Now to the challenge.
When I take out my steam iron, it seems to be a reason for my family to laugh, since I haven't used it for its intended purpose in forevah.
Many years ago, Beate gave us a tutorial for waxed paper resist that involved an iron. I discovered an easier way to get the same results.
1. Crumple waxed paper into a ball and press it into Versamark, then onto cardstock. Be sparing!
2. Emboss the cardstock with clear embossing powder using your heat gun.
3. Sponge a water-based ink over the clear ep, wiping with a paper towel to remove excess.
4. Use as a base layer/panel on your card.
Sounds like a lot of fun and much easier than my previous attempts with Embossing Folders and the iron. A good excuse to try something different. Thanks for the challenge. Your sample is just divine - so feminine.

Thanks for a fantastic new technique, Anne! I will absolutely be using this technique in the future. Always looking for new, unique, ways to create back grounds and this one is so simple. I love that you don't really know what you're getting until you've finished it - surprise! Here is my For the Birds

Really fun challenge. I don't always do these, but this was really fun for a change. I'll have to comment tomorrow. It is midnight here and past my bedtime! Thanks for looking!
