Hello everyone!! Hope you had a great weekend!! I had a wonderful time at the North Texas Shoebox Swap in Crossroads, Texas on Saturday!! I visited with lots of stamping friends (one who will remain nameless didn't come and we only pouted for a little while...LOL!!) and came home with lots of inspiration!!!
Today's challenge is a fun one and I'm sure you have seen it before. I tried it for the first time this week and really liked it..... I called it Sentiment Underneath.
It's pretty simple...just attach an image panel on the front of your card with a brad at the top only. Then stamp the sentiment under the image panel on the cardstock, patterned paper, or another panel.
You can make a card or just use one piece of cardstock for your card since the sentiment is under the front panel...you really don't need an inside to the card. You can write you message on the back or make the front movable panel large enough for the sentiment and a message.
This is a great way to conserve cardstock, use up all your scraps, and make a thinner card for mailing!!
Two Turtle Doves
I like doing this, although I think I've more often done a scored flap rather than a swinging panel. Thanks for a great challenge, Joan.
Here is my card: Enjoy
Opps. I made my card literally with the sentiment underneath. OMG. I am laughing at not reading part two to the challenge. What a dork I can be.
I removed my card from the gallery. Sorry for the mistake.

TLC326 Happy Hippo Birthday- open and closed versions
I like this challenge because it is simple but it makes for a nice card, and I haven't tried this before! I wanted to make a card for a child, so I used the hippo and kept it whimsical. Hope you enjoy it! Here are the 2 images of my card, open and closed:
