Ooooh, this is such a fun technique. You all have posted very beautiful cards. Totally awesome! I played around with some small images and made 4 cards. I had tried black magic with chalk in the past without a lot of luck. I made my 4th card, the pink one, using chalk, but I think I like pencil better. I'm out of town at my parents house preparing for my brother's wedding next weekend. I haven't had much free time and I have been going through challenge withdrawal, but I finally got a chance to play. I combined the CC, TLC and CAS challenges for this one
I never felt like I had the 'right' stamps for this technique, but thanks to this challenge I just dove right in and tried it - sooo glad I did! Thanks for this wonderful challenge - I'm so glad I decided to get over myself and try it. TFL!! CC272, TLC274 Unusual graduation by kamigh at Splitcoaststampers
This is my first time doing the New Technique challenge. Here is my card Katy - that black magic Koi by Gale R at Splitcoaststampers
This card is for this week's New Technique Challenge - TLC274 and Teapot Tuesday's Challenge MMTPT95 (Trish LaFish's Wish) Forums at Splitcoaststampers. I cased one of Karen Barber's cards that has been sitting in my favorites for a while LSC260 - MORE BLACK MAGIC.... by Karen B Barber at Splitcoaststampers. I tried this technique twice before but have only felt so-so about my results. I tried this using regular colored pencils and like the results a lot. I changed the image to fit the teapot challenge which made using the white gel pen interesting . . . tried to make the dots show movement of the fish. TFL.
I have wanted to try this since I saw Karen's Black Magic cards. I plan to use this technique again. Meanwhile here is my Always Black Magic and my experiment with Markers instead of pencils.
Here is my take on this challenge. Thanks for looking! I also did this card for a pals paper art challenge. You can see it on my blog as I haven't figured how to create a link right here...sorry.
I'd visited Karen Barber's blog recently and saw her wonderful cards using this technique. WOW! They were absolutely beautiful! So-o-o-o when I saw this challenge I decided, I need to try this. I got so carried away with the technique, that I didn't really leave a good spot for a sentiment. Planning is everything. LOL Thanks, I enjoy a good challenge. Hugs, Trish
