Lynn, you are astounding! Thanks for this challenge. As a "newbie" how do I know if the ink is alcohol based? Are Copics? Thanks for all you do! Chris

Tried this technique with the Texturz Plates for my Big Shot machine and loved it! When I have time to finish my card I'll upload it to the gallery. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful and easy technique, this will be great for holiday cards!

Funny you should say that! I was just trying food coloring mixed w/alcohol to see if it would work. I will try the sharpies! =)

This technique is the perfect place to use up stamped booboos, because the cardstock gets covered with the foil. I used a glue stick to adhere my foil to the cardstock.

LOL, no. I tried the food coloring by itself, w/water, and w/alcohol. The alcohol actually stuck to the foil while it was wet but just evaporated like the water did. ;)

This is my first post on this site!
I love the look of the silvery aluminum! I just completed a layout using soda cans instead of the foil but it is a very similar thing. I like the cans because they are more sturdy.
Come check out my layout and let me know what you think at my new blog! Thanks!

What a great technique Lynn. It has given me ideas for my new Cuttlebug Christmas Ornaments and Lace Tree Embossing Folders. I will give it a go and upload the results in the morning.

I wanted to try this without using inks on the foil, so it was a bonus that I could tie it in with this week's Flourishes challenge -
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
Know what you mean about the teeth, Lynn - even thinking about it is too much
