Computer hiccuped and uploaded the card before I was done entering all the info. I did go back and edit the post so all the info will be there just as soon as the edit is approved. Sorry about that.

Oh my word was I struggling with the fold, following the picture in the attachment:confused:
I remembered seeing it a while back in the resources and yes, Jen Balcer did a tutorial on it
I am actually using the red sticly tape. Would I be better off using a glue stick (that is the only glue I have right now)? I am going to seem stupid, but what is PVA glue and where can I buy it?
I guess I should have done more research...this tutorial is fantastic and shows the process so well. Thanks for sharing the link.

Got mine done! I didn't get the ribbon centered so no glorious bow, but I'm not going to pull it apart right now! Thanks for the challenge, Lynn. Here's my box: My Friend Box by designlady at Splitcoaststampers

I have to tell you guys that I'm so proud of all of you. Especially for those of you who normally shy away from paper folding, you have really done an outstanding job. Once you do some of the basic origami folds, they really do get easier to do. You have overcome a big hurdle by even trying and I'm so glad so many of you have succeeded in today's technique.
I had to do a lot of homework today. I had to go visit my grandma in the hospital, too. That's why I'm so late in making my box. Have a nice evening. Here's my box
I'll play along with this later, but it's one I can do in my sleep. Every pad or sheet of square paper that comes into the house, DH eyes up and says that would make a nice box...or vase...or...
So I gave him his own stash of 12x12 at Christmas. He's often made the box you are sharing with us today for me to give homemade sweets in at Christmas, and there are abut 5 of them in my room here containing things like scraps of ribbon, unmounted stamps, small things that might be useful, and so on. It will be nice to make one just for fun, a pretty one, not a DH-type one, LOL.
Here is my box FINALLY! I had the same problem as NancyRuth, but I managed to get it done with a help of a video. I had a sick son today, so it kept me away for awhile. It's called Love Notes. I hope you like it.

Hi! This is my first challenge EVER!! Yippee!
I have to say thanks to the SCS'er who gave the link to the video for the folding! That sealed the deal for me to try and participate.
Well - thanks for all the pointers from everyone....(I have to see pictures) - I got my box made and the top. I just have to finish decorating and try to upload it tomorrow.
I haven't participated in anything in so long........I needed the push!
Lynn, thanks so much for this fun technique. I have never done anything like this before so there are a couple of rough edges, but I am happy with the finished product.
