Thanks for the Monday challenge! This is only the second time I have used Pearl Ex so it was nice to break it out. Now I can say I didn't waste that money 3 years ago when I bought it!

Okay, so it's 10:00 at night here, but I've gotten hooked on these challenges......and besides, if I start a card now, I may be up long enough to view tomorrow's challenge....
Not much to look at, as this is the work in progress, waiting for the mist to dry to finish the tag (tomorrow). It was fun, thanks for the technique Beth. Shimmer tag by Scrappy Kathy at Splitcoaststampers

This was a fun challenge. I don't have re-inkers so I used some red food coloring. As others have said, it's very hard to get a decent picture. If you use the flash it's WAY to sparkly. but anyway, it was fun. here's mine shimmer candles by kflorenski at Splitcoaststampers tfl
I also didn't have perfect pearls but found some rub on paste today which has a nice glimmer and sheen so I've used that on a card for the colour challenge and can put it here to. I must try the pearls effect when I get some, all the cards done for the challenge look amazing! Here's my card. TFL

I have had my "PC Sparkles" as I like to call them mixed up for over 5 years and have had no problem with them going bad. I use Pearl Ex and cheap unscented, liquid not aerosol, hairspray and have never had a problem. Using Perfect Pearls will over time clog up the mister though for me. I just give them a good shake to mix them back up and they are good to go. I have never tried using a reinker with them so I will definitely have to give it a try.
Just wanted to let you know that I have done this same technique with Pearl-ex. I use water, gum arabic and pearl-ex and create a great glimmer effect that doesn't "fall" off the card. At a stamp show last year, I talked to the Luminart rep and asked her about her glimmer mists. She said it is a combo of Twinkling H2O's and gum arabic...I tried it at home and it worked! Gum arabic is available at Mike's and HobLob!
I just mixed up several batches today, Instead of the mini misters , they can get expensive, I found mini pump sprayers at walmart for 50 cents each. So you can mix all your favorites at a fraction of the cost. I just labeled the colors on the outside , there transparent and come in blue, green, purple, yellow

I love this technique! You should've seen my lab as I mixed up my concoction. :p I already had PearlEx powders, so I used hair spray. At first I picked gold, but it wasn't obvious enough, and I wanted darker so I threw some copper in there. Loved that.
And believe it or not, I don't have any reinkers yet! I know, I know... but I'm still a new kid on the block. But I did have alcohol inks, so I went with it. Used 10 drops of Baja Blue and 6 drops of Aztec Orange. Of course you can't see it in the picture, but I love how it came out. Thanks for the technique! 4 Challenges in 1!
TFL!
I had SO MUCH fun with this shimmer spray. Mainly because I had purchased the perfect petals, but wasn't too sure how to use it. I have been spraying everything in site all night! Thanks Beth!! What fun.
