Hello all. Hope I did this right. Thanks to Emilymomto3boys I've learned how! Thanks emily!! Anyhew here is my card for an unexpected embellishment. Great Challenge!
I went for an industrial look on this card. I am still not sure if I like it...I look at it and hate it and then I look at it and see some beauty in it.
My medium was drywall mud
Edit: I did not like it in my gallery, (tossed in the trash this am but there is a one that I did using a pop can tab that I already had in the gallery. I will link that one instead.
I finished the challenge, and I have uploaded to my gallery...I'm on a roll!
This was a very fun challenge! I love how it demanded an out-of-the-box style of creativity.
This is my FIRST comment on Splitcoaststampers, so I hope it works
I haven't taken a picture of what I am going to suggest but I hope it will give some idea for your Technique Challenge of "unexpected embellishment"?
I have been saving AND using the envelopes I receive when bills are mailed to us.
There are some unique designs inside these particular envelopes and they make interesting backgrounds. I use them on cards and scrapbook pages. Sometimes I will color the designs with stains or magic markers. Other times I will stamp directly over the design. I not only feel creative, but ALSO enjoy being able to RECYCLE. Hope this helps some of you fellow Stampers? Stampin Busia

Welcome Stampin Busia! We'd love to see some of your artwork...have you thought about starting a gallery? If you need some help with that, just let us know!
Hey, I have been following this challenge for a couple of days now. Great ideas! I came up with an idea, and made my card last night, but I am not sure how to post it here. I already have a small gallery, but am unclear how to do the whole linking thing. If any one could help I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Rebecca

Rebecca,
upload your card into your gallery. Then click on the card in your gallery. Copy the address of your card from the address section at the top of the page, the address will start, http://www.splitcoaststampers
The click on the link of the challenge you did. Paste the link into the quick reply box at the bottom of the page. Then type what you'd like to say about the card and hit "post quick reply". Then your typed message and link will be included in the challenge area of the card you did. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Sue

What a GREAT idea! I just got one today with new medical insurance cards in it, and inside the envelope is a great medical print! Thanks for the tip!
This was my first upload - I couldn't resist this challenge! Used purple "spandex" which is really one of my son's used book covers that he brought home from the last day of school a few weeks ago! The other thing I used is a label from a pair of shorts I recently bought.
This card was made for a friend who just started an exercise program - the back of the spandex stretch inner card is plain white for writing.
Since I am still trying to learn how to do this I thought I would try this link stuff one more time. Thanks for your patience!

Ok now this was a challenge! But I think I found something here! A golf divot tool. Have a look and let me know what you think. This isn't one of my ususal cards! :-)
