I have had this wooden letter 'E' for a few weeks now, I got it for 49cents at Target. I wanted to make it for my daughter Emileigh, as she will be finishing her first full year of high school!! Do you remember how traumatic that was??? I do!!
Anyway, I've never altered anything wooden before but I pulled out the mod podge and went to work. It's not perfect, but she will love it! Thanks so much for the challenge!! (not sure if it's approved yet, but I gotta get ready for work!!)
I need to come up with something for 3 male teachers, so this will be a great challenge for me! The female teachers are always easy, so I will be watching this challenge for ideas for the guys.
The recipe for the oatmeal butterscotch bars can be found on the package of Nestle Butterscotch morsels. They are in the same section as chocolate chips (baking aisle) at the grocery store. The recipe is called Oatmeal Scotchies. I usually make drop cookies with it, but tried the variation for the bars listed on the package since I was making soo many. They are really yummy cookies!
We have year round school, so we aren't done for a while...I think I will sit this one out, but I have loved seeing everyone elses fabulous ideas. Great challenge, too!

I love this challenge! I hope I can participate and be ahead of the game. (I still need to get my Mother's Day cards and gifts finished...)
I used to be a Kindergarten Teacher and this is the time of year I miss most! It's just amazing to see the change in all the kids from the beginning of the year. These teachers will LOVE and appreciate all these gifts!
Not having kids, I can't really relate to the end of school year theme of this week's challenge. It was, however, recently the end of my choir's season and I made gifts for the director and 6 accompanists. Close enough?
I just uploaded all my teacher gifts yesterday! This is the box I made for Andy's teacher. I found 4 of those clear $1 sets at Michaels (she is a new stamper) so she'll get a kick out of that!

My high school son would DIE if I asked him to take gifts to his teachers at his school, but maybe a gift card holder that I could MAIL instead of making him deliver them. High School BOYS are ALIENS in my book!

Here's mine finally. I had fun with this. LOVE those Pallette O' Prints! I'm going to fill this with something for the gift, just not sure what yet.
These are Awesome ideas. Teacher appreciation week is coming up, I think near the end of the month, and I like to give the teachers a small gift every day and then on Friday one big one. Which to choose hmmmm. I am going to have to close my eyes and just point. LOL
