Mine stuck to the paper too. How many times do you iron it? I used mulberry paper and reinkers. Does the paper need to be dry when you iron it? Thanks for any help you can give.
Dawn B.
I ironed mine about 4 times with fresh pieces of scrap paper.
Mine was not dry when I ironed it. It was dry when I was done ironing it, though. ;)

I probably ironed mine 5 or 6 times. What you are trying to do is get rid of all the embossing powder by melting it into the scrap paper. Then you are left with the white areas on the batik without the glossy look.
I think mine was pretty dry. I blotted mine with paper towel before I went to iron and then had to wait a bit for the iron to warm up, so I'm guessing that it was pretty dry by that time.
This was such a fun project to do and so easy I had to do three! Check them out in the Mulberry Batik Gallery or in my gallery! Thanks for the challenge! More fun than a challenge I would have to say!
My 3 grandchildren, I love being a Grandma! My profile picture is a 5 generations picture with my granddaughter. I'm the one in the pink. lol (Back Right) Too fun.

Well I tried and tried with this technique until I ran out of white mulberry paper!!! lol Oh well I had fun but never did turn out anything I was happy with. Sure some beautiful cards in the gallery though!! Will have to give this another round after I get some more paper.
Totally cool new technique for me! Never have seen it before (although, I did have a little trouble with the mulberry sticking to the paper after I ironed it!!)
This really was quite a lot of fun. Thanks for the great challenge. As usual I didn't get it scanned straight but the card got finished and I will probably do the technique again today as the ironing board and iron are now out of the closet and the dust blown off of them. LOL.
I did have some trouble with the mullberry paper sticking but I discovered that it was only because I let it slightly cool before taking it off the copy paper. I had to put the iron back on it and then it came right off without a problem.
I have successfully done a mulberry batik card and I am so very pleased with it. However, no one other than the recipient will ever see it. It didn't scan well and I can't figure out my dumb digital camera. I've messed it up so badly that I can't figure out how to fix it. I made the card with Mint Melody card. It is very soft and subtle. I am so frustrated and that is why I'm spilling all over this thread. The cards submitted are so wonderful. This, indeed, is a very easy technique. Keep up the good work all!

I finally did it! I was able to get a decent picture of my card! Took me all afternoon. I forgot to mention that I also did paper piercing on the front. This was a really fun technique. Here is mine: TLC 114 by ShariW at Splitcoaststampers

Thanks for the challenge, Melody! This coupled with the color challenge made a card I am really happy with for my MIL. I will definately use this technique again!
Here is my very first try a new technique challenge. I am really stepping out of my comfort zone but I guess this is the only way to improve and grow in my stamping. I am not real happy with this. So, here is my doodle this batik.
