Splitcoaststampers Celebration of 1000 Techniques: TLC1000 Gallery
Today is a joyous occasion! We are celebrating the accumulation of 1000 techniques tried, attempted, & undertaken. Many of us have been along since early in the game. Some of us have joined lately. All of my attempts haven't been what I would call successful, but they each represent something I have learned. I got messy, I tried something I would likely never have tried on my own. I GREW. Decades ago, before Splitcoaststampers was even around, I read that if you spend 15 minutes a day on something you want to be good at, you will soon be considered an expert--better than 95% of those around you. Another way of saying that is to spend 100 hours learning something. Well, if you only spent 15 minutes on each challenge, TLC400 would have marked that 100 hour mark. So, TLC1000 means you have definitely achieved expert status. Celebrate!! Pat yourself on the back! Wave a flag! Oh...I'm supposed to be posting a challenge! So today's challenge is to make a flag book or a flag card.
My friend, TCThread (Terri), doesn't post much here, but she brought this technique to my attention with the beautiful Easter card she made me in the attachment below. Her card is landscape, so it has different measurements than the video. What I have learned is that once you get the valley, mountain, valley part, the measurements are really easy to adapt. Besides my ATC, I will be posting a 5 x 7card today as well.
One TIP: The samples mostly show sentiment flags, but images works for flags also. My card used cupcakes for the flags.
As y'all know, I make an Artist Trading Card for each TLC challenge on Monday. Today marks the day I officially have 1000 ATC's in my technique album--the truth is, they fill up three fat alums--a thousand little things! This song kept running through my head. I'm posting so you can enjoy it too.

Flag books are fun and I have made several in the past. So I was delighted to have the card version to try. Thanks, Beverly.
I would love to see those ATC albums!!
Congrats to all the team from the beginning until today for the 1000 challenges!!
I didn't make any of these mini albums yet, so I gave it a try and made 2
