First of all, let me just say that this challenge was difficult! Monochromatic is so not my thing! In fact, I may have stretched the rules a little bit, because for my first 2 cards I chose copper as my neutral. I hope that's not cheating. The 3rd card was by the book, though. Here they are:
Here are two I made for this challenge. I like monochromatic cards, especially for sympathy cards. I think the mono color scheme can be very soothing and peaceful.
This is my first ever comment on a forum, so please be patient if I goof... In making a monochromatic card this evening, I wondered if anyone has ever tried stamping using a versa marker pad, mulberry paper, and applying glitter to the stamped image on the mulberry paper? [My SU consultant said this web site is THE place for information!]

Reason: hopefully, to clarify my question

Hi SuzQ!
I have not tried using Versamark on mulberry paper... try it and see what happens! ;)
Have fun!!

Here's another one for this challenge that uses the monochromatic resist technique. I really love the effect you get from this technique. The card is rather dark (maybe too dark?) because I used Bravo Burgundy. What do you think?
Finally got this to upload! Gallery was having some serious issues yesterday. I alwayssave my images at 30% and yesterday every time I tried to upload a card I got a message that the image was too small. HUH??? They were the same size as everything else I've uploaded and well within the guidelines! Anyway, finally got them to go through, so here's one of the cards I did for this challenge (I ran out of patience with the gallery before I could get the other to go through...maybe later).
This combines TLC14 with a background made for TLC12. Posted here instead of TLC12 by mistake but perhaps a combination of gold and black qualifies as monochromatic too?
By the way, for those having difficulty scanning bumpy cards, there is a description of a scanner box you can make in this article: http://www.oldfashionedliving.com/scanner
Beth, I tried to combine TLC #13 and #14. I think the #13 worked. I really liked how Apricot Appeal and Really Rust looked together. I thought the copper EP was close enough to the apricot and rust shade. Do you think they are all in the same color family? The Black Stazon ink is not, but did not think the other colors would show up. I did the copper faux metal for my hummer, but turned out too dark so just embossed. Will try again. I did salvage the copper strips. I just love trying your techniques. Keep up the good work, your stamping fan, Nancy
Hi, I'm somewhat new to the challenges. This would be my second. Instead of attempting another current one challenge, I figure, I can go though and select one from here. Hehehe. It's more difficult than I thought. Here are my submissions:
This is my first attempt at a monochromatic card. I made this for my daughter, she started 1st grade today & I wanted a card to give her at the end of the week to tell her how great she's doing! Wonderful TLC13 by Frazzled! at Splitcoaststampers
