Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! The Rest of the Story:
1: Well, it really is true, what was once "cool" is now "rad" and what was once "hip"is currently "on fleck" (That is if it hasn't changed again already) Having trouble keeping up with all the lingo? You aren't the only one and thankfully some of us have younguns in the family that can keep us from making dreadful mistakes.
2: Such is not the case for Silly Penny. Silly Penny comes by that name because that is what everyone says as they roll their eyes at her and walk away. "Oh, that's just Silly Penny. You never know what she will come up with next" Silly Penny is kinda stuck in her youth and hasn't kept up with new technology- I mean the girl still uses a rotary phone for heavens sake!! And she has the most horrid time figuring out what the neighbor kids are talking about, and usually her answers are so off that they all think that she is just one nut short of a total fruitcake.
3: And then there was the "Thong Incident" Now this was an incident to end all incidents and made poor Silly Penny the laughingstock of the big massive department store downtown cuz by the time her friends got her out of there, the whole department store and some from the building next door had heard about the incident. Now, just how was poor Silly Penny to know that thongs are no longer things you wear on your feet? Puh-leese, this woman really is living in the dark ages. Yep, she saw a sign for thongs on sale and went over to find a new pair. Well, first clue should have been when they didn't come in pairs and then the second one should have told her for sure (they were trimmed in lace) but she still didn't get it and tried and tried to figure out how to wear these things on her feet. Oh and it was quite a sight too.
4: At least one thing is sorta the same. Smiley faces still make people smile. Course nowadays they are called emojis but everyone at least knows what she means when she signs her name with a smiley after it.
Challenge Translation:
