MMTPT441~Jan. 3, 2017~A Little Love and A Little Prayer; Make a Quilt We Can Share
Welcome to Teapot Tuesday
the Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty
and Challenge #441
A Little Love and A Little Prayer; Make a Quilt We Can Share
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
There once was a girl named Glee,
Who always seemed to be the life of the teaparty.
If Glee was around the table,
There was sure to be told some fable.
And if you don't want to get her really wound up and going,
Then don't start talking about the art of sewing.
For Glee was a champion for the handmade arts,
And could be found fashioning everything from teapots to darts.
Now Glee's favorite form of creative expression is the fine art of quilting,
And she can be found most often in the sewing room feeling guilty.
Guilty for forgetting to fix dinner for the crew,
No, they can fend for themselves according to Sue.
Guilty for letting the cobwebs gather dust,
No, when they get heavy enough, they'll bust. (and fall down)
Guilty for missing the Rose Parade once again,
No, no, not even that; although she did promise her best friend Lynne.
But, guilty for not buying that beautiful piece of pink,
that perfect rose color that would finish off this quilt in a blink.
Challenge Translation:
patched up and pieced together, lets show our support and help her win the big fight
Destination Station:
This week our cards are going to Wichita. If you would like a destination for your cards, how about sending them to Gaynelle.
to find out why as well as get the address to mail your card, please visit post 547in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is totally 100% voluntary!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT441 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given Sheri (KSNurse) permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Saturday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send her a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges.
Sheri, love those quilt cookies! I didn't know if I can do a quilt card, but will try, so I can send Gaynelle a card. thanks, Kathy for letting me know.
All ready to go to Gaynelle! I have a neighbor who beat breast cancer - I sure hope Gaynelle beats it too. MMTPT441 Hope

I fully intended to do better at joining the tea potters every week - but I am already behind! This should go in the "I'm late" thread but it looks like it is not being used, so I will just post here. Again, I am using a card from my stash.
