WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY AND CHALLENGE #348
MMTPT348 The Emerald Isle
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
Irishgreensue, aka Greenie, aka Sue is our guest hostess for the Tickle challenge this month. And here is her story:
Welcome, Tea Potters, to the Emerald Isle, because this month we celebrate St.Patricks Day! I am not as gifted as some of the other ladies in spinning tales of any kind, but I would like to tell you about a local leprechaun named Finn OFlanagan.
Finn resides with all the other leprechauns in the Fairy Court, midway between Killarney and Dublin. Finn is not a tricky leprechaun you sometimes hear about, trying to get out of giving up his pot of gold, but rather he likes spreading a bit of Irish goodness. His favorite month is March, because of all the St. Patricks Day revelry and green beer, but also because it is when the seasons begin to change and the flowers begin to awaken in the soft, dark earth. He loves to leave reminders for everyone, to never forget all the blessings we have received and all we have to be thankful for.
For your inspiration, here is
THE IRISH BLESSING
May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your window pane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION: Show us a little bit of Ireland its green fields, tiny cottages, windows with a view, leprechauns, a pot of gold, a rainbow, or maybe some shamrocks, to celebrate the blessing we are to each other and to those we bring cheer to with our cards!
DESTINATION STATION: This week our destination is each other! Once a month, we send our cards to each other! A little payback and reward to the teapotters for always sending their cards to the recipient of the Destination Station.
 I have started this new thread ~ MMTPT348 Tickle A Teapotter; The Emerald Isle ~ in the Teapot Tuesday Extras Forum. If you are participating in the card exchange please go to this thread and follow the instructions.

Here's mine. Thank you for a fun challenge this month, Sue. I wish you could all really visit the Emerald Isle, not just in your cards ;-). MMTPT348 An Irish Rainbow
The picture you can't see it, but the shamrocks are made out of 3 heart punches each. This is for the Tickle challenge - which had to be something Irish --

What a great theme Sue!! I went to Ireland last Sept and had the best time! I loved every place we visited. I'm going to try and attach 2 pictures from my trip. They're both from the Aran Islands...we took a pony cart tour and our guide was the most charming man..we (my sister Chris and I) had to get a picture with him. Let's see if I can do this..never attached a picture before
Thanks for the sweet story Sue, although it did require some thinking on my part as I own no stamping supplies that even hint at Ireland. Here's what I ended up with.
Thanks for the challenge and for being hostess.
My "Irish" card is a sweet little Irish lass with a basket of spring flowers to share. The inside has an Irish blessing! tfl
