MMTPT317 ~ Gettin' Ready for the Harvest Dance

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a great week, I can't believe another week has flown by again, and that August is almost over.
1. That has surprised a lot of folks over at the town of "Small Meadows".
The townsfolk, just so hard working at the old gardens, and quiltin' bees, and the young'uns only been back from church camp a couple weeks ago. Now the veggies are getting ripe and ready to harvest, and that's the biggest hint people started thinking about the big ol' "Harvest Dance "
Hoo-Boy...did someone just say dance ?, Daisy-May said to her friend Dixie. They got sooo excited as this year they were old enough to dance with the boys, being sweet 16 and all.
2. Oh Goodness the two girls thought, what were they going to wear. A lot of the excitement was the purdy dresses they could wear, that and the good ol' baking to impress the boys. The James brothers they thought would sure be there and they were so cuuuute. Especially the twins Luke and Rowdy....Hmmm thought Daisy-May and Dixie... let's get out the sewing kits and any material we can find, lace, buttons, gingham, ribbons...anything we can dig up.
3. That neighbor girl Scarlett, already had a new dress from the store and there was no way they could afford that, but they were quite talented with the needle and thread so away they went. They even got some help from their farm friends. They were talented but, a pretty dress needed time, and they had to beat Scarlett.
They couldn't let Scarlett be the only Belle' of the ball. They already knew she was a pretty bad baker, she never practised enough..."didn' like gettin' her hands dirty" and "besides that's what the maids were for."
4. They already had the apples picked, and cherries canned already to go to yummy pies and they saved up enough to buy some sugar and chocolate bits for some yummy cookies. This is going to be so fun the girls giggled.
Hey Daisy-May said to Dixie, "maybe too that silly boy Wyatt will actually " Beat the devil around the stump " and finally ask my sister to marry him, at least that was the scuttlebutt they heard around town. She HAD been so crazy "love-sick " all summer. Walkin' around like in a daze, sayin' the funniest things, gigglin' like a little girl everytime he came to call on her. Deep down the girls thought this dance might change things for them too.
I think you fine ladies at home know how we can help these two. Let's help Daisy-May and dixie get all ready for thier first "Harvest Dance " as "Proper ladies ". Lets bring some lace, gingham, buttons, polka-dots, ribbons, or even help them in the kitchen with some baking.
Extra cookies for cookies...lol....you get extra cookies for doing both. It's the back door for you if you bring anything burnt.
Challenge translation: bring a card with something to help make a pretty dress, or baking.

This week our destination is each other! Once a month, we send our cards to each other! A little payback and reward to the teapotters for always sending their cards to the recipient of the Destination Station.

SCS has given Sheri (KSNurse) permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Saturday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card.
