As The Gull Flies
Glistening sweeps of translucent liquid
Moist the sands into thick sea mud.
Shells and pebbles awash the shore,
As above, the Gull flies.
Rasping breeze scented with salt,
Pushing forwards the grains of fossilized grit
Into the path on the open road
As above, the Gull flies.
A dimming sky turns seasons in hours;
Summer, fall, winter then thaw.
Seaside towns are distant fires,
As above, the Gull flies.
Water weaving, gentle and cool,
Tugged by the grasp of Sister Moon.
She speaks "Tomorrow morn shall cycle again,
As above, the Gull Flies."
