WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #MMTPT300
A PLACE TO CALL OUR OWN
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1.There is the most exciting news out of Teapotterville, just in time for the 300th Teapot Tuesday Challenge.
The probate court has finally dealt with the estate of Mabel Potter, the last descendent of T. (for Timothy) Potter, for whom the town is supposedly named. As some of you may know, Mabel lived in the old family mansion known locally as T.Pot Hill until her death at the age of 103. However, in her later years she wasnt able to care for the home as well as some would like, and it became rather an eyesore around town.
2. Mabel, who never married and had no children, died several years ago, leaving a hand-scrawled will that indicated she would like the home to go to worthy groups in Teapotterville. Since that time, the town and a number of groups claiming to be worthy have been fighting in court over who should receive the building.
Judge Justin Thyme heard testimony from several people who knew Mabel well to determine what groups she might have had in mind when composing her last will and testament. And last Friday, he finally issued his ruling.
3. Heres the amazing part the Teapotters are one of those groups. Yessiree, Judge Thyme has decreed that the Teapotters have exclusive access to the homes large parlor to use for tea parties, stamping parties, casual get-togethers, and any other use the group deems fit for its purposes.
4. Of course, theres a catch. (Theres always a catch, right?). Because the home was in such disrepair, Judge Thyme ruled that all the furniture and fixtures in the house some of which are apparently quite antique and valuable had to be sold to raise the money needed to repair the building. So, were getting a big, empty room that we need to fill with furniture and other items if were going to have proper tea parties. Surely the Teapotters can find some chairs, tables, chandeliers and items to decorate the room? 42,000 would be too many, but if everyone can contribute something, well have a workable space. Check your attics, guest rooms and stamp rooms and see what you can donate to the new Teapot Tuesday play space.
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION: Bring chairs, sofas, tables and other furniture. Bring chandeliers and lamps. Or bring items to decorate our space -- teapots (of course), or flower vases or anything to make it homey and comfy.
EPEC ~ (EXTRA POINTS FOR EXTRA COOKIES!) It's Tickle a Teapotter week -- everyone gets extra cookies just for showing up.

I was thinking of Mudder (Cindy) when I saw that we were at 300. I'm grateful to the gals who all contribute so much to making the TPT challenge a go. There will always be a place in my SCer heart for Cindy and I was thinking of sending her a card/note, too. Good thought, Kim.
A week late but here I am! I brought along an easy chair, fine antique table, pink porcelain teacup and get this a STERLING SILVER teapot which if we fall short of funds we can sell. Here is my TEA TIME.

I have a quick question. In the directions it said that it would be nice to include an image?? What kind of image. As usual, I am so confused. I would like to include whatever this is. Thanks to anyone that can clarify. Francie

Some people include stamped images so the recipient can color. I sometimes include some die cuts. Just a little extra gift for the teapotter!
I was just reading this thread and I DID send Cindy a card a couple weeks ago and wished her well and that she is still thought about. - - - Oh no, my memory just clicked in, I THOUGHT I had but I just checked my book as I did not remember writing her an envelope and it is not there!
ANOTHER SENIOR MOMENT THAT DID NOT GET DONE WHEN I THOUGHT IT HAD. In Cindy's famous words - BAD SCOOTSV! I WILL get on it right now! Yes, she is greatly missed! But..... you lovely ladies that took over for her, are doing a great job and it IS REALLY appreciated! You even arrange for us to have a home of our own!
I just received my tickle card today and it was from Scootsv (Rita). Oh and she sent the most cutest card! And lovely dp and die cuts - thank you so much -- it really lifted me up today!! God bless always! Jan (Precious Kitty)
