Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: peeps321/Polly
This week we are sending support to our dear friend and fellow Teapotter MaryJo (Icela52). We’ve had Teapaties for MaryJo’s husband Nick and we’ve followed along during his battle with cancer. Sadly Nick passed away August 14th. MaryJo was faithfully by his side as a devoted wife and caretaker.
There are many symbols of caring . A dove for example is recognized as a symbol of caring and compassion. Ultimately, symbols of caring remind us of our shared humanity and the ways in which we can make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Challenge: Use a symbol of caring on your card. Examples might include: a dove, a hug, a heart, a cup of coffee or tea.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Sympathy, Thinking of You, Caring Thoughts, Hugs
Send cards to:

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to Jennifrann via PM or e-mail [email protected].
Thanks, Polly, for this lovely challenge. Here is my card for MaryJo: Long Distance Hug

Oh my goodness, I am so overwhelmed with love and gratitude every day being part of this group. Ya'll never cease to amaze me with your kindness and love. I've been struggling with how will get my card making groove back since Nick passed. He enjoyed every card I made and always gave his stamp of approval. It is hard not having Nick here and you just all made me smile and made it a lot easier to help me get back to what I love. MAKING CARDS.
Lisa, Denise, Ann and Sallie Your cards arrived yesterday, at first, I thought everyone was sending their tickle to me when I saw the cards LOL. When I opened the cards, I realized to go check the Teapot Tuesday link I was overcome with tears and felt so much love.
Thank you for making my day
((((((((( I'm sending ya'll a million hugs)))))))))))

Sabrina, your card arrived yesterday also.
The card from Karen S. is not posted in the teapot gallery. It is a beautiful butterfly card with a lovely dsp with a beautiful message inside. Thank you Karen.
Hugs,
Hi Shirl, I got your card from before and was so caught up in processing financial stuff I did not get around to responding, that was definitely a rough 3 weeks. I still have correspondence I need to get caught up with and your card is one of them. I thank you,

Mary Jo, financial stuff seems to take a long time. When Mom passed, I think it stretched out for several months. I found it overwhelming and all I did was sign papers, get them notarized, copies made and in the mail. You are doing well!

Thanks Lisa, I have one thing left to do and have an appointment to take care of the last item on my list on the 20th. Handling parents things is harder than handling spouses stuff, everything was in both names or left to me directly so I had no problem getting everything in my name only. I'm glad I'm almost done. I even wrote my own will and got it notarized. All I need to do is sit back and create the new me and create greeting cards. I did not have to mail anything I either faxed it or put it in an email and the Insurance company took care of it in 3 weeks. I was Blessed in that dept....LOL
Hugs,
My heart is full, when I joyed SCS 13 years ago I never knew I would be part of something larger than me or would need you to get me through my grief . Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Love and a zillion hugs for all of you.
