Welcome to Teapot Tuesday
the Sisterhood of the Traveling Teaparty
and Challenge #346
Layers, Layers, We Must Have More Layers
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
1: Have y'all ever known someone who never could figure out when to stop? Couldn't understand why 1 more ribbon, sequin, bead or button wouldn't make things so much better? Someone who piles things on so thick that she has trouble remembering what layer goes first when she actually gets around to glueing it down? Someone who has to then build a box to mail her creations in because they are so thick they won't go in an envelope?
2: Well Lacey Lou Lou is just one such gal and she is so excited that Spring is finally here that her creative juices are running on overdrive at warp speed. Spring is just the perfect time to get out and meet the neighbors, have tea on the porch and watch the butterflies, visit the shut ins at the nursing home, why even just the perfect time for sitting still and breathing in the fresh air, (if she could slow down long enough that is). All these cards for the neighbors, the shut ins, the mail man, the flower shop etc aren't going to make themselves.
3: So in a whirl of pastels, a veritable tornado of white lacey stuff and sparkly things floating in the air, she is in her element building cards by the dozen. Adding layer after layer of color, lace, sparkle, flowers and butterflies till it's a wonder that the base can even withstand it all. Spin, spin, turn and turn, she cuts out die cut after die cut until her arms ache and won't do anymore. Slap, slap, she glues down layer after layer and flower after flower until......Rut Roh.....what WAS in that glue bottle....Lacey Lou Lou is beginning to feel a little faint....and why won't her fingers come loose from each other? Seems she's worked herself into a fine mess.
4: This is where we come in Teapotters. We must help Lacey finish these cards while the paramedics work on waking Lacey Lou Lou up.
