I typed the wrong program that I am now using for my stamps! It's OneNote. It works well and the pictures show up the same in the program as they did in Evernote.
I wonder if we could insert a picture in a column in excel? I guess I need to take some time and sit down with the computer. I'm on my tablets 24/7. I have two of them so when one battery is nearly dead I turn the other one on.
To insert a photo, I use Open Office for my spreadsheets and text files, and go to Insert then Picture. I have Excel on my computer so each Open Office file gets converted to Excel with no issue. I am sure those commands should be on Excel. I use this mainly for digital photos, but they come in as JPEG so this should work for any other kind of photo. Hope this helps.
Hello from southeast WI everyone. I'm having a great time visiting friends and my son and daughter in law. Good food, went a maker market yesterday at the lakefront in Discovery World which is a children's hands on museum. Still seeing two more friends tonight and one tomorrow morning before heading home.
Hope Gracie is ok.
I too am glad I never used anything on the computer to keep track of stamps/dies.
This afternoon when my friend gets home from her bookclub, we're going to make rosettes. Haven't made those in ages.
See you all on the flip side.

Son said he would not recommend storing photos in Excel since he said it is awkward to do so and the searching is not as good as in OneNote.
I think I have one note and some things already in there! I'll look as soon as I have time. I may not have to start at the beginning! I may also have a book on it.
Hello everyone,
It been a while since I been on here. I wanted to come hello and thank you for the Christmas cards. They are lovely and greatly appreciated I not back prettily yet. Good morning! Our power went out last night - it was rainy all day, this morning too - and someone hit a power pole plunging us into darkness. Fortunately, the cookie baking for the day was already complete. The girls have blessed me by baking the three kinds of cookies we are giving the neighbors this year. I still have to make Scotcheroos for them and then the neighbor treats will be complete. As for the power outage, it lasted less than an hour, fortunately. DD2 was already in bed for work and I was able to reset the coffee maker for her so that her coffee would be ready in the morning when she wanted it.
We also finished the paper snow hat treat holders that I am taking into DD1's Starbucks store this morning. DD1 is going with me to work so that she can go with me to deliver these. I made 36 of them and they were more work intensive than what I normally do. The treatbox part has room for three Hershey's Nuggets. Fortunately, everyone helped me get them done - and I do mean everyone!
Kathy, as you've already read, yes, photos can be added to Excel. I do have Microsoft OneNote but didn't like it as well as Evernote. We'll see what I end up doing, I do like having the information on the computer because it has kept me from buying duplicates.
That is a lot of rain you got! I'm not sure how much we've gotten but they did have chain check running for part of the day yesterday due to snow at higher elevations.
There is a liquor store right where we exit the freeway and they had an already drunk person pull into their parking last night in his truck. He was drunk enough that he had forgotten he was towing one of those Big Tex trailers behind his pick-up. Fortunately, he didn't hit anyone though I understand he came close a couple of times. I guess he was refused as a customer and the police had to be called. Yikes to being drunk enough - and driving - to forget you had a big trailer behind you!
Jean, it sounds like you are having a great time. I'm so glad.
Hi Linda, it is nice to hear from you!
Well, I need to get off early to make a fun delivery!
Oops, I forgot, I was going to attach a couple of photos of the paper snow hat treat boxes. A close up of the two color schemes and then all of them in the "lovely" transportation box.

If you changed your email, you can change that yourself on your profile. That is where it is saved. Go to your Profile which you can get to by pressing on your user-id at the top of the screen. Then choose Edit Your Details. That is where you can change your email and password.
As far as what's been happening here, I guess you are referring to Lydia being the only paid staff member. Volunteers have been recruited to take over some of the things that she has done in the past.
Back to your email, if you have changed it, when you save the changes to your profile, I would think you will receive the newsletter like you used to.
I hope this answers your questions or helps some. Welcome back! I haven't seen you around the site in a while. I am new to this alphabet challenge, but enjoying it.
Is it really Round 20 already? I posted on Round 19. Thanks, Ann, for the updated link.
Thank you, all my Alpha sisters, for your lovely cards and best wishes. I’m still puttering with macrame, chasing a little dog around, playing Bingo, reading mysteries daily, and binge-watching past episodes of Chicago Fire, Med and PD. I want to say MERRY CHRISTMAS and a most wonderful, safe new year. Here is my ledge outside my apartment door. I only change it once a month now. Im beginning to order miniature things for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter. Then, I think I will have stuff for each holiday from then on..
Love you all and miss you too!

Fun, Melody! I shared with hubby and we both had a laugh this morning. Thank you.
Kandie! Kandie! So good to hear from you! Those scenes on your ledge are adorable. I bet the residents take photos of them all. So nice to do that for their enjoyment.
I am loving all the B locations posted so far this week. I will play catch up after Christmas. My craft room is all clean and neat for DGD to sleep on a pallot on the floor in the middle of my craft room. LOL
it is suppose to be almost 60 today, so maybe I will get a walk in today. Then we will be making beds up in the two downstairs bedrooms. And… wrapping gifts. We got the tree up last week. Family arrive late Friday night. Oh, and we are enjoying all our lovely cards we are receiving from our friends.
waving to all of you. Merry Christmas if you don’t get on again or if I don’t get n again. 🥰
Hello, I'm back in western WI for a couple of days, then heading to Moorhead, MN for Christmas. I feel like a nomad; my sister in law said I should go up north for New Years...uh, I think I need to stay home. I'll get back there eventually.
Holy Merry Christmas, Catherine...what a lot of work, so delightful. I gave my stamping friend Margie, who introduced me to stamping, the triangular tea light box we made for Falliday. She loved it, especially because it's snow oriented, not Christmas only.
Hi Linda, hope to see you back soon.
Gracie, glad you are on the mend, yes, patience, grasshopper, patience.
I received lovely cards from Shirl and Gracie while I was gone. Thank you.
So very true, Melody, sadly. Everyone I visited in MF this weekend has had some kind of joint issue or surgery, even my son Joe. He had a partially dislocated hip a while ago.
I'm ending with a picture of me sitting on Santa's lap in the 1950's. Not sure how old I was, I'm guessing i'm younger than I look because I always looked older. I grew quickly, then abruptly stopped. Doctors said I'd be tall, they were mistaken.

Good morning! DD1 and I had such a fun time delivering the treat boxes to her former co-workers. The manager told us that just recently one of the employees asked her if she thought I'd still make treats for them even though DD1 doesn't work there anymore. Unfortunately, she had left early yesterday so she missed the delivery and we missed her! DD1 told me that Julie (the one who asked) hasn't opened any of the treat boxes and brings them out with her Christmas decorations each year! Everyone who knew and worked with DD1 was excited to see her and I finally got to see the back area of the store yesterday as the manager heard me say I always wanted to see back there....hint, it is extremely tiny! Such a fun delivery, I always like to see them.
By the way, the treat boxes I made, I followed the instructions in this video mostly though I adapted it for the tools I had: I also skipped the step of cutting the ovals down by cutting my paper the width that I needed. I needed to make the project simpler, it was still time consuming.
Kandie! So happy you popped on and your Christmas scene on your ledge is so cozy and wonderful!
Good one, Melody!
What a cute photo of you, Jean, with Santa. Happy birthday to your daughter!
Hello Everyone,
I know I have been absent for quite some time. I have not caught up in...I have no idea when...as all of you know so well, life just happens and we deal with it the best we can...
On a short and quick note, I did want to say thank you for the beautiful and much appreciated Christmas cards that I have received thus far from Ann, Shirl, Annette, Jean, Sharon, and Pat.
I hope to pop in more often. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

Jean I just took out mine and dh's and stepson's pictures yesterday of us with Santa when we were young. They are so fun to have! Happy Birthday to Liz!
Melody that was a funny.
Catherine those treat boxes are super cute. Great to know that everyone loved them!
Hi Sally, good to hear from you!
Ann I have not started baking anything yet, but plan to. Butter tarts first. I don't make my own pastry, just buy the tart shells, so I can make those pretty fast.

Good morning! We've had a couple of drizzly days so it looks fresh outside and so pretty. With the rain, the green is returning. This morning we had a lovely buck in the back yard.
Last night, we were able to deliver six of the seven plates of cookies to our neighbors. There were three kinds of cookies on each plate - coconut oatmeal (very similar to AnZac cookies), chocolate mint, and orange oat. DD1 did all the cookie baking for me.
I also delivered the cranberry orange loaves I baked to the pastors I work with/for yesterday. The church secretary received a bag of salt/pepper pistachio nuts. She tries to eat keto so no cranberry orange loaf for her.
We had a delicious staff lunch yesterday at an Indian restaurant. They had a fabulous buffet with lots of vegetarian options for me...so tasty! I love all the flavors.
Ann, yes, DD1 did do a good job working there. That group of employees has a wonderful family feel to them too. One of her co-workers always comes and gives me a hug when I come in because he knows how much I miss DD1. He is such a sweetheart.
Hi Sally! So glad you popped in!
Linda, I echo Shirl's question. How is Sonja doing now?
Hi Shirl! I'm not sure what butter tarts are.
Oops, there goes my work alarm. Chat with you later!
Hello Alphas! I thought I'd take a moment to touch base. It's been very hectic, of course, with my knee replacement last Friday. I am back home in Payson. I've already started PT, so I'm a hurting Gracie...not my usual jovial Gracie-self. "Patience grasshopper" as Jean said. I'm wondering how much patience can a tiny grasshopper have, anyway??? LOL
I didn't get all of my Christmas cards sent out, but will do so eventually...maybe New Year's cards.
Anyway, as I said, it's been very hectic and stressful because my mom fell and broke her hip a week ago Monday, didn't have her life alert bracelet on...long story. She had surgery Tuesday night, complications, blood transfusions, etc. She is back in Intensive Care (Wisconsin). I've been living on the phone with brothers and sister. I almost cancelled my surgery, but they encouraged me to do it. My brother had a shoulder replacement surgery on Tuesday. My sister and DH had Covid. So, as you can imagine, life has been pretty eventful. Was this a Hallmark movie? So unbelievable.
Love and Hugs...time for a nap!
