The power was always going off during storms where I used to live that these came in handy so well that I have 6 of them and even have colored Kerosene in them. So they look purty all yr round ;')

I have a bunch of lanterns as well as candles. The lanterns I use mostly for camping cause of the smell of the oil burning. I think for me it is more of the fact that I have no room on my dining, actually more like the size of a kitchen table. I'm afraid with everything so close that I will knock something over.
Yes they certainly can be stinkers. She is 5 mths old. I came in for a water break and snuck in here to see what you are all up to right now lol... Ok better go again before hubby thinks im leaving him alone for the whole project lol.

Awww I remember when we first got Lucky from the rescue, he was 7 months and such a puppy. In fact, he still acts like a big puppy. He is 8 yrs old now. Then there is Lucy. She also came from the Cocker rescue. She is 15 yrs old and not doing too well. She is now completely blind in one eye and the other one is going. It's wierd tho, the white of her eyes are beet red. The vet said she has a brain tumor that is pressing on the eyes causing the blood vessels to break. However, I made sure with him that she is not suffering. I would not be able to live with myself if I kept her alive while suffering. He said he believes Lucy is one that will die in her sleep. Altho you never know. She still eats very well. So that is a good sign. She's never been playful so it's hard to tell as far as activity. She's just never known how to play and stuff. All she wants to do is cuddle. Which is fine by me. I love cuddeling with her.
That would be such a great time to go Dani wish gas wasnt so high tho were at 4.20 yesterday.
Wow on your rescues too Dani sorry about Lucy I sure hope she does get to go in her sleep , the poor thing the tumor mightbe one of the fatty ones they are not cancer but can restrick breathing and earing as well as sight too. But they just seem to keep on going without an problems I had a puppers we got from the pound yrs ago that lived to 17 yrs and she had them fatty tumors and she went in her sleep too.

Oh Wow, thank you Blue, you made me feel so much better. I did not know that they could get fatty tumors in their brain. Lucy is full of fatty tumors. I bet she has 8 of them. She's had them since we rescued her. So maybe it's not cancer. At least now I can have hope that it's not cancer. Thank you.
I'm sorry to hear about your puppers. That had to be a difficult time. How long ago was it?
So do we all do rescue? My I have my one-eyed corgi, I have my cat and we had a stray feral. I think I will only ever do rescue from now on and I advocate to anyone who will list to not use a pet store.
FM I'm with you. From now on, it's rescues only. The vet said once Lucy goes I will need to get another dog right away so Lucky doesn't get sick from loneliness and missing Lucy. I don't know how true that is, however, I have decided I would like to get a miniature daschound.(sp)
I should let y'all know I am not sure how much I will be on today. I am having an allergic reaction to something. My left hand (I'm left handed) is so swollen my son-in-law said it looks like the Nutty Professor. Plus I have welts from the back of my neck to the bottom of my feet. So I am calling my doctor as soon as he gets in at nine.
Hi Ladies!! Just wanted to let you all know that Dani is very ill. They believe she is havinga severe allergic reaction to something. She is home on meds resting now, but they may hospitalize her later today since she doesn't seem to be responding to the meds. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

OMGosh!!! Thanks for letting us know samswindle If you have a chance, please let her know I'm sending her all the positive thoughts I can her way. I will also life her up in prayer for healing. Give her my best and keep us posted. I'd going to get a card out to her this afternoon!
Ladies, I am not staying on long. I just wanted to thank FM for all of her help and concern. And thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. I explained what's going on in the Forest. I unfortunately need to go lay back down. So, I will share everything with you when I get back on. Thank you again for all of your thoughts, prayers, and kind words. BIG HUGGs. And FM thank you so much for helping me through this. You are a true friend girl. Love ya!
Hello ladies, FM, I left love on your absolutely awesome card.
Montana, I am starting to feel a little better this morning. I am not feeling sick which is a huge plus. I still itch on my hands and feet but I am getting better slowly. The doc said this could take a good 2 weeks to heal completely. He said I will probably break out again after my next shower. Altho I am looking forward to taking a shower I am not looking forward to the after effects. But this too shall pass. Thank you for your prayers. I tell ya my SCS friends are the best.
FM, I meant to tell you. If I can get the hands to stop itching long enough I am going to put on some gloves and try to get a card made. I can't promise anything, however, I will get one done asap. Did you do the drawing to see who is the receiver of the "E" cards?
Dani took a shower and is now dealing with welts on her welts...uuggghhh. So this is round 2 for her. She's gone to lay down for a bit. And as she said she appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
Ladies, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. FM thank you for keeping this challenge up for me. Montana, congrats on winning the E cards. I will get mine out asap. I am going to the doc in a few mins here. I am still having chest pains and he wants to check that out. I think it's just acid reflex however he is a bit concerned because the meds he gave me for it didn't help. My itching is now down to a dull roar so I am on the road to recovery. Yay!!! That was horrible. Oh and Montana, thank you for the kind words about my A card. I am glad you like it. Well I must go now....I will be back on later today to let y'all know how the doc went. If for whatever reason I can't get back on I will txt FM and ask her to relay the results of the docs visit. Again, thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. Big huggs for all of you.
Dani sounds absolutely awful but it is from all the reflux and allergic reaction. She thanks everyone for their prayers and concern. I HOPE she is not silly and tries to log in tomorrow, she needs her rest. She has someone with her over the night to help, so I'll bug her sometime tomorrow afternoon to see how she is doing. Now I should go find a song so I can do the musical challenge for her.
Hello ladies. I am finally starting to feel somewhat normal. I am still itching but nothing major and I did finally stop the vomitting. OMG that was horrible. The acid reflux seems to have slown down. The doc said that was caused from the sterroids I was given for the allergic reaction. Anyways....today I am feeling pretty good so I plan on paying my bills and making a couple of cards that I am behind on. Thank you everyone for all of your kind thoughts and prayers. They were greatly appreciated. Big huggs to y'all.
FM, I will get a card made asap for the letter "Q". Thank you again for hosting. You are the best!!!
