Hello and welcome to the weekly Alphabet Challenge. If you have never played before here is how it works: Each Wednesday I draw a letter from the alphabet then challenge you to make a card making sure to include an item that starts with the week's letter. It has to be an item not anything general like a color, or if you use an embellishment you have to call it by its name not use the word embellishment for the letter E. After you make your card you should post it here in the forum. This way we can chat about it and you can get comments. As well as, your name will be put into a drawing to see who is going to be the recipient of the cards made for the week. You MUST post a card using an item that begins with the week's letter in order to get your name into the drawing. It's simple and fun. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me or ask right here in the forum I am sure someone will answer your question if they can.
Ladies, this week we do not have a drawing because the last two week's we subsituted the letters x and z to make cards for ladybluemoon's son who is going to share the cards with his fellow soldiers. If you would still like to make cards for Ladybluemoon's son feel free to do so. If you need her address just send her a pm.

Ok had to get started on some easter cards almost forgot it was coming this way so fast. Im still so way behind on so much and now have to make sure I got two birthday cards made auntie and grandmas birthdays.

Stampmontana, thank you for joining us. And wow, what an awesome card. Very nice job. I love the d/p. I hope you stick with us. We are a fun bunch. But be carefull FMcrafter tends to corrupt the innocent. Oh and put her with Suzy800 and then ya really have your hands full. Then add blue and oh my they just run a muck. The rest of us, we are all very innocent. hehe....I do hope you stick around for the next letter. Which, I will be posting in a few minutes. Along with the winner of the "A" cards.
Hello Ladies, it is time for this week's letter. Sorry that it took me so long. I was having a creative block. However, I did finally figure out what I wanted to do.
First let me say thank you to all of you that played last week's alphabet challenge. Last week's letter was "A".

If you would please pm your address or the address to where you would like the cards to go I will then give it to everyone via pm messages. Ladies, if you are planning on sending your card to stampmontana please pm me for her address.
I have to share something with y'all. If you notice, whenever we have a new person join us, their name is always drawn as the winner of the cards. I swear to you, it is just happening that way. My daughter Kayla does all the drawing of names. I just find this too be so cool that it turns out this way. Anyways...I won't keep you waiting. This week's letter is: "E"
If you are new to the alphabet challenge this is how it works. I had put all the letters of the alphabet in a bowl. Each Wednesday I draw a letter. Then the challenge is to make a card using something that begins with the letter that was drawn. Please make sure you don't use anything general. For example if the letter is B..do not use the color blue as your item. Then post your card here in the forum so we can leave you love and chat about it. The following Wednesday everyone that made a card will get their names put into a drawing. The winner gets to have the cards that were made either sent to them or to someone of their choice. Keep in mind that if you want to be entered into the drawing you MUST post your card here in the forum. And HAVE FUN!!! Please note: It is NOT mandatory for you to send your card to anyone.

I hope I can keep up with this challenge. Usually I am doing so many swaps. I am trying to cut back on those a little bit. I want to have a little more time to spend on learning and trying out some new techniques.
I did my card for letter E. It wasn't what I had first planned. I was thinking of a stamp I have with an Easter basket full of eggs, but realized that I left most of my Easter stamps over at a friend's house last weekend. We were making cards together and I left them because we were going to get together again yesterday. Yesterday I felt awful-congested, tired, coughing. So I stayed home.
Left some love for your cards Dani and SMontana, I hope to get mine done later tonite after I get back home. Im still behind I have got to stop saying I will do everything im asked to do. Im wearing thin but wish my bod would try that one. ;)

Thank you for the love. I so know what you mean about saying yes all the time. I have no problem saying no however, the things people ask me to do seem so small. I guess we forget how things can add up. Well, I have decided that I am going to focus on activities that mean something. This way, I won't get stuck doing the dull stuff. lol
Everyone, I would like to apologize for being so unorganized and so out of it the past couple of weeks. Worrying and me just don't get along. I have been so worried about dh not sleeping and driving to work that I have lost sleep myself. Only to find out.....he's only a block away from the job site so he can walk to work. OMG, I so wish he would have shared this information a while back...but I am now at ease about it, therefore, I will be more on top of things here on SCS. As some of you know, this is all I do, besides caring for my home. Therefore, I want to make sure I do it well. I hope y'all will accept my apology and continue being inspired to make cards with me to the alphabet.
No apologies needed Dani you are well loved here and can do no wrong ;') So stop the worries now and enjoy sleep and life cuz you know hubby is ok now. Phew what a relief and he even gets to sleep in a bit longer now too yay....

Thanks Blue, dh still is doing the 20 hr a day thing. But he said he should be done with that the middle of next week. So, all is good. He doesn't have to work Sat or Sun so he said he will use those two days to catch up on his sleep. I appreciate the love that y'all give me. Thank you.

I am glad the power is back on. We had an outage of about an hour. Fortunately the house didn't get cold and the fridge didn't get hot. But I did learn that I can't scrap very good by candlelight.

I received a card from someone that made it with candlelight for the same reason. She did very well. I don't think mine would turn out very good. I need good lighting in order to see what I am doing. Did you post your candlelight made card in your gallery?
