Default Want to submit a card but don't know how

Hi! Love the site, but would love to submit a card myself, Upload I guess is the correct terminology. How do I do this? I've been looking and looking for info, but this site is so overwhelming, I'm not sure WHERE to look. Thanks for any help you can give.

TIA

Stamp-cerely,
Janet

Janet:

On the left hand side of the home page scroll down a bit and look where it says upload a card. If you click on it it is all right there. You'll need to put the "name" of the file your card is saved under in the empty box (just hit browse and look for it that way, seems easiest for me and I am pretty computer illiterate!).

It may take awhile for the photo to load...the site has been pretty slow the last few days. Good luck!

Good Morning Janet,

On the front/main page is an area down the left side called "Quick Clicks".
The 3rd item down is 'Upload a card'. Click it, and just follow the easy steps. Your image must already be saved as a jpeg on your computer.

Hope this helps!

edit: Oooooops! Sorry, Caspen1973. I didn't realize we were answering simultaneously!

Oh and to add to what these gals have said, you have to be logged in...so first log in then you will be able to upload!
Some tips though, IF you can size your picture to be 640x480 or close to it your upload will be MUCH faster and it also speeds up the approval time.
Fill in as much info as you can because it will help others who love your stuff to recreate it
and once you do it once, keep doing it~ We all love to see others stuff here!! LOL
HAVE FUN!

From the Gallery Geek

1. Give your FILE a unique name BEFORE YOU UPLOAD IT. When you scan or take a picture of your creation, change the file name on your computer to something unique rather than a number like 1.jpg, or scan001.jpg. When files have the same generic name as others (which is the case a LOT lately), they will get removed when we scan for duplicate posts. So. . .try something like your username_petalprints1.jpg and yours won't get deleted!

2. Please CROP your picture to showcase your creation! I've re-done several uploads to focus on the card rather than the white backdrop you get when you scan. It takes a little bit of time, but the end result is that it's easier for people to appreciate the work you've done!

3. Only upload JPG FILES. Anything else will jam up your upload queue, and Daven will have to go in and fix it while you wait.

4. Watch your FILE SIZE. Max size for the gallery is 640x480 pixels, but the gallery software will take care of that for you if you are unsure about reducing yourself. Mainly what you get through doing it yourself is shorter upload time (because the files are smaller when reduced). By tweaking the images yourself you also have to opportunity to do any color correction, cropping etc. that you want.

5. When you upload your creation, PUT THE FILE IN A SPECIFIC GALLERY. Anything you upload will automatically be loaded into your Member Gallery. We have galleries by set, by technique, by type of creation (anything but a card, scrapbooking, events, stampin' spaces, etc). . . and if there is not a gallery that fits, leave it in your member gallery. We'll move it if we see a place for it.

6. Fill out the Stamps, Ink, Paper, Technique, Accessories Fields! The more complete your information the easier it is for others to find your work.

WHEW! If you'd like to read more on how you can make the gallery experience better, read this article Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Yep - post whatever your heart desires and your hands create! There are no galleries set up for non-su! stuff, so they will live in your member gallery, and not be categorized. Jovi's done some pretty cool stuff lately if you want to see some non-su!. . . www.splitcoaststampers.com/go/Jovi

Jovi, I don't have much time to comment on everything I see that I like anymore! But I liked it all, Jovi! Best of all. . . no ice cream to make me want Sonic. Just pretty glittery dresses and happy stuff!

Thanks for the posting of non SU info - as well as the gallery link.
BEAUTIFUL stuff.
I just love looking at what other people do - especailly the same stamp(s) in differnt ways.
I'm always stumped and end up using the stamp in the same way becasue I get stuck in a rut.

I just might get brave and make my own gallery...
Why not jump right in? I just started my own business. I go from no leaps to lots of leaps!

Default difficulty rating

How do we determine how difficult a card would be?

I just guess...It really all depends...I usually leave it blank or put a warning like. Time Consuming or something...difficulty is so dependent on who is making it...
